Meet Leilani Laranio of Kamawailualani LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leilani Laranio.

Hi Leilani, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Aloha!
My name is Leilani Laranio and I am a Clairvoyant Life Advisor. I received my BS in Kinesiology and Exercise Science in 2014. I am currently pursuing my second Bachelor’s degree in Holistic Health Sciences towards my Doctorate and PhD in Natural Medicine online at Quantum University. Initially I studied to become a physical therapist. I do have 6 years experience working in a physical therapy clinic, which allowed me to gain a comprehensive understanding of the human mind-body connection. But not too long after moving back home from college, I slowly began to fall into heavier and heavier drugs. Addicted and living on the streets, I started shooting up heroin. June 7th, 2018 was my saving Grace, when I got arrested. I spent a week in cellblock withdrawing, going through it cold turkey. Looking at felony drug charges and years in jail. I ended up being released on my own recognizance after 4 months. I completed one year of adult probation and graduated from outpatient drug treatment. I am 8 years clean from heroin and meth. While getting clean in jail I ended up developing Epilepsy. I was put on anti seizure medications for a bit, but they were causing more toxic adverse health effects. I was having panic attacks daily, I had to stop working, I developed agoraphobia and couldn’t leave my house, AND I was still having seizures. I decided to take my health into my own hands through Integrative Medicine. I was confident in doing so because I already had an advanced knowledge in the way the body works. I have also spent some time in the homeless/addiction community. I got to experience first hand the struggles that so many people, so many towns, so many cities, so many states suffer from. While healing through my personal struggles I was able to see how much the island and its people were lacking and in desperate need for change. I got to see what truly needs to change. I got to go through that change. I am the best version of myself I have ever been, and life just keeps getting better and better. But my main focus is to help others see the beauty in their life and to spark motivation to want the best for themselves. You are the main priority in your life. To be able to show up fully for your friends, family, or career you must be able to fully show up for yourself first.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think the point in this life is to embrace the journey, including the not so comfortable situations. That uncomfortableness is necessary to motivate us to want a better tomorrow, to gain a better perspective, to live a wholehearted life. My struggles were not struggles, but divine life lessons that needed to be instilled in order for me to live my purpose. I had a great upbringing and childhood. But like most, I allowed my insecurities and distortions to control me. I lived allowing myself to be manipulated by others for attention and what I thought was love. I partied and did heavy drugs over the years, slowly losing myself more and more. Things could have totally ended up differently. I am grateful for my struggles, truly blessings in disguise.

Everyone is hurting from some type of trauma they aren’t aware of or aren’t ready to process. Most societies do not teach you how to regulate your emotions and traumatic experiences in a healthy way. Lack of regulation may lead to toxic coping mechanisms, such as substance abuse. The majority of health clinics and hospitals prescribe medications that only treat the surface issues rather than getting to the root cause. Most times medication is not even needed, but with the right tools, guidance, and nutrition the human mind and body can learn to regulate itself on its own. The body stores trauma until awareness is brought to attention. Once awareness is gained, a holistic approach can be developed to maximize an individual’s healing journey. Most times pharmaceutical medications cannot be directly pinpointed only to the area of dis-ease, the body as a whole absorbs the ingredients which most times can be toxic to other organs causing harmful side effects. For absolutely every illness/dis-ease there is a plant/herb in nature that can be utilized for healing.

Change starts when you finally choose yourself.

What does success mean to you?
True success comes when self alignment is achieved. We cannot reach our greatest success if we do not allow ourselves to gain the awareness that will bring us to our most successful selves. Finding the beauty, even in the chaos, in life and knowing you already have everything you need. That is success. Once you find that balance, everything will flow into place.
