Life & Work with Caela Harris of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caela Harris.

Hi Caela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey started with a passion for beauty and creativity at a young age. What began as me experimenting with makeup on myself and those around me quickly turned into something much bigger. Over time, I realized that makeup wasn’t just about appearance it was about confidence, transformation, and helping people feel their best.

I committed to perfecting my craft, and over the past 11 years, I’ve developed a strong foundation in soft glam artistry, which has become my signature style. Through dedication, consistency, and a willingness to keep learning, I turned my passion into a business Cae Artistry. Building my brand has taught me not only the technical side of beauty but also the importance of professionalism, client experience, and entrepreneurship.

Alongside my work in beauty, I’ve also pursued education in cybersecurity, earning my bachelor’s degree. Balancing both worlds has strengthened my discipline, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, allowing me to grow both creatively and professionally.

Today, I’m proud to be in a position where I can combine my skills, continue expanding my business, and create meaningful experiences for my clients. My journey is still evolving, but every step has shaped me into someone who is driven, resilient, and passionate about growth.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most journeys, mine has come with its share of challenges that pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.

In the beginning, one of my biggest struggles was building confidence in my work and getting people to take me seriously. Turning a passion into a business isn’t easy, especially when you’re trying to establish your name and attract consistent clients. There were times when I questioned myself, dealt with slow periods, and had to learn how to market myself effectively.

Another challenge was balancing multiple responsibilities. While growing my makeup business, I was also pursuing my degree in cybersecurity and working in customer service roles. Managing my time, staying disciplined, and avoiding burnout was something I had to learn over time.

I’ve also faced financial challenges, investing back into my business for products, branding, and a professional space before always seeing a return. On top of that, navigating client expectations, cancellations, and the ups and downs of entrepreneurship taught me resilience and professionalism.

Despite all of this, those struggles shaped me. They taught me patience, consistency, and how to keep going even when things felt uncertain. Looking back, I wouldn’t change the journey because every challenge helped me become stronger and more focused on my goals.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a professional makeup artist and the owner of Cae Artistry, where I specialize in soft glam enhancing natural beauty with a polished, effortless finish. My work focuses on creating looks that are timeless, skin-focused, and tailored to each client’s features, rather than overpowering them. I’ve spent over 11 years perfecting techniques that give a flawless, seamless look while still feeling lightweight and natural.

What I’m most known for is my attention to detail and the experience I provide. For me, it’s not just about makeup it’s about how my clients feel when they leave my chair. I take pride in creating a luxury, personalized experience where every client feels confident, comfortable, and truly seen. Whether it’s a bridal appointment, a special event, or a regular client, I approach every face with the same level of care and intention.

One of the things I’m most proud of is building my brand from the ground up and staying consistent in my style and quality over the years. I’ve created a signature look that people recognize, and I’ve been able to turn my passion into a business that continues to grow and evolve.

What sets me apart is the combination of my artistry, professionalism, and client-focused approach. I don’t just apply makeup I educate my clients, customize every look, and prioritize skin prep and technique to ensure long-lasting results. My background has also taught me discipline and adaptability, which shows in how I run my business and deliver my services.

At the core of everything I do is a genuine passion for helping people feel like the best version of themselves and that’s what continues to drive me every day.

What’s next?
Looking ahead, I’m focused on continuing to grow and elevate Cae Artistry into a well-recognized luxury beauty brand. I plan to expand my services, especially in the bridal and concierge space, and create more exclusive, high-end experiences for my clients. I’m also working toward offering more structured programs like makeup memberships, virtual classes, and eventually hands-on workshops to help others learn my techniques.

Another major goal of mine is to continue building my brand presence both online and within my community so that my work reaches a wider audience. I’m interested in collaborations, brand partnerships, and getting involved in larger projects within the beauty industry.

In the future, I also see myself expanding into additional beauty services and possibly launching my own product line that aligns with my soft glam aesthetic. Long term, I want to create a space that not only provides services but also empowers and educates others who are passionate about beauty.

Overall, I’m looking forward to growth, new opportunities, and stepping into bigger spaces that align with the vision I’ve always had for myself and my brand. I’m excited about what’s next and committed to continuing to evolve both creatively and professionally.
