Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Sims.
Hi Briana , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey has really been a mix of motherhood, entrepreneurship, and figuring out how to build a life that feels aligned with who I am.
I started my entrepreneurial journey in my early 20s when I created Bluxe Holistics, a natural skincare business rooted in my love for holistic living and creating products for myself and my family. I was also working in childcare at the time, so entrepreneurship started as something I was building alongside my regular life.
During the pandemic, my life shifted. After becoming a mom and eventually becoming a stay-at-home mom, I started looking at my life differently. I wanted to create an income that allowed me to be present with my children while still having something of my own. That led me back to creating content and sharing my real life online.
I started posting about motherhood, family life, wellness, holistic living, and the everyday realities of being a mom. What started as simply sharing my experiences began growing into a community of women who connected with my honesty and relatability.
Since then, I’ve grown my social platforms significantly and have had the opportunity to work with brands through UGC, product collaborations, and creator campaigns. I’m now intentionally building my career as a full-time creator while continuing to grow Bluxe Holistics.
What I love most about what I’m building is that it doesn’t feel separate from my life, my life is the content. I’m a mom, an entrepreneur, and someone who is constantly learning, evolving, and finding better ways to care for myself and my family. I think that’s what has allowed me to connect with people authentically, and it’s also what makes me excited about partnering with brands that genuinely fit into my world.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. A lot of my journey has involved having to start over, adapt, and figure things out as life changed.
One of my biggest challenges was transitioning from working outside of the home to becoming a stay-at-home mom while still wanting to have an identity and income of my own. I had built my business, but motherhood changed my priorities and made it difficult to continue building it the way I had before.
There were definitely seasons where I felt like I was starting from scratch financially, professionally, and even creatively. Balancing six children, motherhood, my business, and content creation can be a lot, and there have been times when I questioned whether I was actually making progress.
Social media has also been its own learning curve. Growing an audience is one thing, but learning how to turn that audience into meaningful opportunities and income has required me to become much more intentional about my content, my brand, and the value I bring to companies.
But honestly, those struggles have shaped me just as much as the wins. They’ve taught me to be adaptable, consistent, and willing to keep learning. I’m still building, but I’m no longer looking at the challenges as proof that I’m behind. I see them as part of the reason I’ve become more resourceful and determined about where I’m going.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work sits at the intersection of motherhood, lifestyle, wellness, and entrepreneurship. I’m a content creator and UGC creator who shares real, relatable moments from my life as a mom while creating content that is entertaining, informative, and genuinely useful.
I specialize in motherhood and family content, product storytelling, lifestyle, holistic wellness, and UGC. A lot of my content comes from real experiences, whether I’m sharing something that has helped my family, talking about motherhood, incorporating a product into our everyday routine, or simply sharing the realities of building a life and business as a mom.
I think what I’m becoming known for is making people feel like they’re talking to a friend rather than watching an advertisement. I’m naturally conversational and I love taking something as simple as a product or everyday experience and turning it into a story that people can actually relate to.
I’m most proud of the community I’ve built organically. Watching people connect with my content, share their own experiences, ask questions, and tell me that something I shared helped them means more to me than just seeing a follower count go up. I’m also proud that I’ve continued creating and building my businesses through some very demanding seasons of motherhood.
What sets me apart is that I’m not trying to create a perfect version of motherhood or a perfectly curated life. I bring the real-life perspective of a mom, entrepreneur, and woman who is constantly learning and evolving. I understand how to create content that feels authentic because I’m not trying to manufacture relatability it naturally comes from my life.
I also bring an entrepreneur’s perspective to content creation. Having built my own natural skincare brand, Bluxe Holistics, I understand what it means to be on the other side of a brand partnership and how important it is for content to actually communicate a product’s value. I care about creating content that doesn’t just look good, but makes people understand, trust, and want to engage with what they’re seeing.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
It was when my mom took my brother and I on a road trip to Florida, we drove in the early hours of the morning and this was before people had tvs in their cars, but my mom had this tiny green portable tv and she brought it and I remember she set the car up so cozy for us and we were watching tv in the back seat just enjoying the ride. My big sister was there too, it was such a great memory and I’ll never forget that trip.
