Today we’d like to introduce you to Aurelia ‘Ree’ Quarels.
Hi Aurelia ‘Ree’, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story is really about becoming the person I always knew I could be, even when I didn’t have a blueprint for how to get there. I am a mother, author, and content creator, and at the center of everything I do is my family and the life I’ve built with my children.
What I do is tell my story. I tell my story, and I tell it well. I don’t sugarcoat it. I’m authentic about my life and what I have going on.
I’m also a mother, and that’s a big part of who I am and what I’m doing. I love being a mother more than anything. I imagined it, I planned for it, I thought I was ready. I thought I knew what it was going to be like. But once you’re in it, once you actually become a mother, there’s nothing like it. And I mean nothing. I’ve done a lot, but there is just nothing like being a mother.
I think what sets me apart is the way I go about being a mother and the way I am with my kids. Nobody showed me this. I didn’t see it in my family. Nobody gave me the guide or the blueprint. These are things that I’ve just done on my own. It’s like I’ve set my own bar.
I just don’t think anybody’s doing it like me when it comes to this. Nobody’s moving in the way that I move when it comes to this.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest things for me has been figuring things out on my own. I didn’t have somebody give me a guide or a blueprint for how to do things or how to be the kind of mother that I am.
I had to figure a lot of things out for myself and set my own bar. And I think that’s part of what has made me who I am today.
My journey to motherhood also wasn’t easy. I went through IVF twice, and that was a big part of my journey. There were things that came with that that weren’t easy, but I kept going because becoming a mother was something I really wanted.
And then there are the opinions people have about you and what they think your life should look like. So many people were closed-minded when they thought about me being a parent. But I didn’t let that stop me from becoming who I wanted to be.
Now I’m able to inspire women all over the world through my story, and that’s something I’m really proud of.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I tell my story. I share my life and what’s going on with me, and I don’t sugarcoat it. I’m authentic about my life.
I’m a mother, I’m an author, and I’m a content creator. I share my experiences with people and connect with women and families through my story.
I’m also the author of What the F**k Is IVF?, where I talk about my IVF journey and what that experience was really like for me.
A lot of what I do comes back to being a mother. That’s what I love the most. I could imagine it, I planned for it, I thought I was ready for it, but once you’re actually in it, there’s nothing like it.
I’ve also built a community of more than 2.2 million people across my social media platforms. I’m able to share my story with people all over the world, and I think that’s really special.
What sets me apart is just me. The way I am, the way I mother my kids, the way I go about things. Nobody gave me the blueprint. I made my own.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I don’t really think luck has anything to do with what I have going on.
Everything I’ve done, I planned, I manifested, I prayed for it, and I executed it. That’s how I look at things.
And bad luck, I don’t really look at things that way either. Bad things happen, no matter what. I don’t consider myself somebody who has bad luck because you kind of get what you put out, and I put out nothing but positivity and things of that nature.
I feel like a lot of great things have come my way. And if something bad happens, I just feel like it was our time, or it was that time for it to happen. I don’t necessarily look at it as me having bad luck.
