Rising Stars: Meet Batool Yazid-Foster of Indiana

Today we’d like to introduce you to Batool Yazid-Foster.

Hi Batool, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Art has always been an escape for me whether that’s music, modeling, photography, poetry, singing, rapping, painting? It’s just a way to express myself without feeling the pressure of words. I’ve done runway shows, I paint beautiful paintings as if Picasso himself took the brush from me. I’ve always been gifted and I believe sharing your gifts and talents with the world is doing gods work.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Growing up I was abused my biological father was a good dad when he’s physically around but he was a deadbeat my mom raised all 3 of us me and my brothers she’s a wonderful mom but growing up it wasn’t easy it was actually really dark… I won’t go into too much detail but I started writing poetry that poetry turned into music that music turned into passion I started modeling to remind myself and other woman out there that the pain may feel heavy but when you get up and walk you feel so free. When you’re up at 3 am and your thoughts runnin wild and you put it on a song you know it’s a different type of feeling. I’m different. My vibe different and I’m a badass bitch fr. One of the realest and illest. Still I am humble. I love that for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
