Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr Edwin Rajan.
Hi Dr Edwin Rajan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was not born in a business family. I didn’t wake up one day and suddenly become a CEO. I started my career just like many other people, working, earning a salary and trying to build a better life for myself.
I spent about eight years in the banking and finance industry, including my years with HSBC.
And actually, I’m very grateful for those years because banking taught me a lot. It taught me discipline, professionalism, responsibility and how the corporate world works.
But somewhere inside me, I always felt that there was something more that I wanted to achieve.
I didn’t want my entire life to be just about going to work, collecting my salary, paying my commitments and repeating the same thing every month.
I wanted to know, how far can Edwin actually go?
That question changed my life.
So in 2010, I started stepping into a different journey.
And trust me, when I started, I was not the Edwin that people see today.
There was no Dr. Edwin.
There was no CEO.
There were no awards.
There was no recognition.
There was just Edwin, with a dream and a lot to learn.
I had to learn how to communicate with people. I had to learn sales. I had to learn how to face rejection. I had to learn how to build a team and eventually how to become a leader.
And I made plenty of mistakes along the way.
There were good days, and there were very difficult days.
There were times when things didn’t work out the way I expected. There were disappointments. There were people who believed in me, and of course, there were also people who doubted me.
But one thing I kept doing was moving forward.
Because I realised very early that if I wanted a different life, I couldn’t keep doing the same things.
I had to change myself first.
That is why, when people ask me what is the biggest thing I built throughout these years, of course I can say INFINITE.
But actually, the biggest thing I built was Edwin.
I built my confidence.
I built my knowledge.
I built my mindset.
I built my ability to lead.
And slowly, as I transformed myself, I started helping other people transform as well.
That became something very important to me.
I realised that success is not only about how much money you make or what lifestyle you have.
For me, success became more meaningful when I could see another person grow because I was part of their journey.
That is where mentoring, training and developing people became a big part of my life.
Over the years, I continued learning. Business, finance, leadership, entrepreneurship, blockchain, digital assets, artificial intelligence and new technologies.
Even today, I still consider myself a student.
Because I believe the moment you think you know everything, that is the moment you stop growing.
Of course, along the journey, I have been blessed with recognition and awards. I’ve been recognised among Malaysia’s Top 100 Entrepreneurs, my story has been published internationally, and I’ve received recognition for entrepreneurship, innovation, business excellence and leadership.
I’m grateful for all of that.
But when I look at an award, I don’t just see the award.
I see the journey behind it.
I see the years.
I see the failures.
I see the sacrifices.
I see the lessons.
And I see all the times I could have stopped, but I didn’t.
Sometimes people look at my life today and say, “Edwin, I want your lifestyle.”
And I always say something very simple.
Don’t admire the lifestyle and ignore the journey.
Because this lifestyle didn’t happen in three months.
It didn’t happen overnight.
It took years of consistency, learning, falling down, getting back up and continuing when nobody could guarantee me the result.
And today, in 2026, when I look back at 16 years of this journey with INFINITE, I feel proud, but more than that, I feel grateful.
Because what started as Edwin wanting to change his own life eventually became a journey of helping other people change theirs.
And I think that is my biggest achievement.
I’m still learning.
I’m still growing.
I’m still dreaming.
And I still believe there is so much more ahead.
Because for me, there is never really a final destination.
There is always another level.
There is always another person we can inspire.
There is always another life we can impact.
And that is why I continue doing what I do today.
That is my journey.
I started by trying to change my life.
And somewhere along the way, I discovered my purpose in helping others transform theirs.
EXPERIENCE THE LIMITLESS.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has never been a completely smooth road.
I think every meaningful journey comes with challenges, and mine was no different.
When I started, I had to learn almost everything from the ground up. I had to learn how to build a business, how to communicate with people, how to handle rejection, how to manage finances, how to build a team and eventually, how to lead people.
One of the biggest struggles was dealing with uncertainty. In a job, you generally know what to expect at the end of the month. But in business, nobody guarantees you anything. Your results depend on your decisions, your actions and your consistency.
There were times when things didn’t go according to plan. I made wrong decisions. I trusted the wrong people. I faced financial challenges, disappointments and moments where I had to start again and rebuild.
And leadership itself was another journey. When you are responsible only for yourself, it is very different. But when people start believing in you and following your direction, suddenly your decisions affect more than just your own life.
That taught me a lot about responsibility.
Over the years, I also learned that not everyone who starts the journey with you will finish it with you. People change, circumstances change, businesses change, and sometimes you have to make difficult decisions and continue moving forward.
But looking back today, I wouldn’t remove those difficult chapters.
Because the challenges taught me things that success alone could never have taught me.
They made me more disciplined, more resilient and more understanding as a leader.
So no, it definitely wasn’t a smooth road.
But I believe the difficult roads were necessary to build the Edwin I am today.
And even now, I don’t look at challenges as a sign to stop. I look at them as part of the next level of growth.
As you know, we’re big fans of Infinite Global Hub. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
INFINITE is more than just a business to me. It is something I have built over the years with a very clear purpose: to develop people, create opportunities and help individuals transform themselves personally, professionally and financially.
What we really focus on is people development. Through training, mentoring, business and financial strategies, leadership development and entrepreneurial education, we help people understand how to think differently, develop themselves and create better opportunities for their future.
One thing that has always been important to me is staying relevant with the changing world. That is why my journey and INFINITE have continued to evolve into areas such as blockchain technology, digital assets, artificial intelligence and fractional ownership. I believe we cannot prepare people for tomorrow using only the knowledge of yesterday.
What sets INFINITE apart is that we don’t just talk about motivation. We focus on transformation through knowledge, application, mentorship and a system people can actually follow.
I’m especially proud of the community and leaders we have developed throughout this journey. For me, seeing someone grow in confidence, improve their financial understanding, become a leader or achieve something they once thought was impossible is far more meaningful than simply growing a company.
In 2026, INFINITE celebrates its 16th year, and when I look back, I’m proud that we have continued to grow, adapt and move forward through so many changes in business and technology.
Ultimately, what I want people to understand about INFINITE is very simple. We believe that your current circumstances do not have to define your future. With the right knowledge, mindset, environment and action, there is always another level you can reach.
That is why our philosophy has always been: EXPERIENCE THE LIMITLESS.
What’s next?
I’m very excited about the future because I genuinely feel that I’m entering another chapter of my journey.
One of my biggest focuses is to continue expanding INFINITE and developing the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders. After 16 years, I don’t look at how far we have come and think we have arrived. I look at it and ask myself, “What’s next?”
I also see tremendous opportunities in artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital assets and fractional ownership. The world is changing very quickly, and I want to make sure that I continue learning while also helping people understand these changes and how they can prepare themselves for the future.
Education is another important part of my next chapter. I want to continue developing myself academically and professionally because I strongly believe that no matter how successful you become, you should never stop being a student.
I’m also working towards becoming an author. I want to put my experiences, knowledge and perspective into books that can reach people beyond the training room and hopefully continue impacting them for many years.
On a bigger level, I want to take what I have built beyond Malaysia and create a stronger international presence. I want INFINITE to continue growing as a platform where people can develop themselves, discover opportunities and become better leaders.
But as I move forward, I also want more balance in my life. I want to travel, experience the world, spend meaningful time with the people I love and enjoy the journey while continuing to build.
So yes, there are definitely big plans ahead. But for me, the future is not simply about becoming bigger or achieving more. It is about impacting more people, creating more opportunities and becoming a better version of myself along the way.
I’ve achieved many things that the younger Edwin once dreamed about. Now I’m excited to see what the next version of Edwin can achieve.
