Exploring Life & Business with Wendy Rincon of GUSTOCK INTERNATIONAL MARKET + DELI & BAKERY

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wendy Rincon.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We are Kevin and Wendy, we have two childrens: a 6 years old daughter and a 3 years old grocery store who was born after my husband’s experience working in a few general stores and dreamed of having a small part of our country in our new City.

At the beginning we were very anxious to see the reaction of the customers, people from everywhere Woodstock, Ohio, California, Virgina, Arizona, Latin America, China, Russia, Mexico, Venezuela who after trying our homemade bread, empanada, arepa, a treat or drink became our marketing associate and gave us the energy to continue this adventure.

Gustock can only be possible for two reasons, the great community and a City team who gives you the stage and the instruments for you to rock!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has ups and downs but for sure we are enjoying the process because this business shows just what we are.

Thank you Woodstock City for building a place where We ALL Fit, and feel valuable even when you can not understand what we say sometimes

As you know, we’re big fans of GUSTOCK INTERNATIONAL MARKET + DELI & BAKERY . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Gustock is a Latin identity turned into a business.

We are a family owned business, that provide specialty foods that are not carried by neighborhood or bigger restaurants. Our services include Hispanic food (mostly Venezuelan and Colombian) that will be managed from Hispanic people to relay with the customer, maintain and share our traditions.

We also have presence in the Farmers Market of Woodstock every Saturday for those who yearn a little bit from home or want to try something different; maintaining a clean and organized space. You can see our video on https://visitwoodstockga.com/stories/ “Wendy’story”

The bakery and deli section was created by my husband (Kevin), so every day you can enjoy a very fresh product like empanadas, bread rolls, tequeños (cheese sticks), arepas, and other made by someone you can meet in the store who will explain how it is made or how to create new recipes to share with the family.

We invite you and your readers to take the time to visit us and have a more tasteful grocery experience every day from 9am to 8pm

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We love doing community activities with churches, schools, and learning centers. Most of them want to practice their Spanish or learn about our culture and they realize that we are ALL equal, all human beins.
