We recently had the chance to connect with Cassieandre Jones and have shared our conversation below.
Cassieandre, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Yes, I’d hire me. I show up on time, I do things right, and I’m a little particular in the best way. I believe in hard work, accountability, and not cutting corners. I’m human, but if my name’s on it, it’s getting done properly… probably twice.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Cassie Jones, the founder and creative director behind Pink Caviar. To be honest, I never set out to be in the beauty industry; I can barely put my hair in a ponytail without getting frustrated. I entered the space as a consumer with high standards and an investor mindset, knowing how to build something out of nothing. I’m not the one performing the services. I’m the one building the systems, shaping the experience, and setting the strategy. I’m a logical thinker, a creator, and a delegator by nature, and Pink Caviar is proof that you don’t have to follow a traditional path to build a brand people actually pay attention to.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I’m from the country—like two stop signs and one red light kind of country—and I knew by the age of five that the stork dropped me off in the wrong place. I couldn’t understand why this was my environment, but I knew I wanted more. Growing up in the ’90s, I remember watching MTV music videos set in places like New York and thinking, Is this real? It was the first time I realized there was a whole world beyond what I saw every day, and it changed how I imagined my future.
Then at eighteen, I met someone who hustled and made fast money—and for the first time, I saw that you didn’t have to follow the traditional path of school, job, and decades of waiting. That moment cracked my perspective wide open. I took what I learned from him, rewrote the formula, and built my own version—just bigger, cleaner, and on my terms. From that point on, I stopped seeing the world as something to fit into and started seeing it as something I could build within.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there are definitely moments when I think about giving up. I’m naturally an introvert, I value my alone time, and I don’t love constant interaction, especially when people bring their problems and try to place them upon my plate. Ironically, I built a business that requires me to lead a team of eighteen, serve clients, and educate students through Pink Caviar University. Some days I honestly ask myself, What was I thinking?
The responsibility can be heavy. A lot of people depend on me, and I carry that weight quietly. I don’t put my problems on others, which can feel overwhelming at times but that’s what my therapist is for. On top of that, I struggle with insomnia, so my best ideas come at night—while my daytime energy pays the price. I am so irritable during the day. Lol
Even so, quitting never lasts. I might have a moment or two each day, but my mind moves too fast. I’m already thinking about the next task, the next solution, the next idea. Building Pink Caviar has pushed me in ways nothing else has and revealed strengths I didn’t know I had. I’ve owned other businesses before, but this one challenged me the most—and helped me grow the most.
So while the thought of giving up crosses my mind, it’s always temporary. I pause, reset, and keep going—because this journey continues to show me what I’m capable of.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely not—and that’s by design. I’m actually sarcastic, funny, and very animated, but that version of me is reserved for people I trust. In public, especially in business, I’m focused, direct, and all about execution. People think I’m serious because I am—about my work. The personality is still there; it just clocks in after business hours.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. When do you feel most at peace?
Peace for me is complete silence—no conversations, no interruptions, and no responsibilities. It’s being able to do what I want, when I want, without solving problems or carrying anyone else’s weight. Peace to me is getting pampered, shopping, traveling, and simply moving through life without urgency or expectation.
My daughter, Stormie Lamar, also brings me a deep sense of peace. She’s my best friend and truly feels like the sequel of me. We spend most of our time together, and watching her grow has been grounding in a way I didn’t expect. She’s sharp, funny, quick, and confident—and honestly, sometimes I joke that she’s better than I was in my prime. What gives me peace is that she wants to be around me. At twenty, she’s in no rush to grow up, and that’s something I find really special—especially because at her age, I was ready to jump off the porch.
And above all, peace for me comes from my relationship with God. Talking to Him brings clarity, grounding, and reassurance. When life feels loud, that connection is what quiets everything.
