CTC Crazy Duwop attended Englewood High School & Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville where he excelled in dual sports (Basketball and Football). After allegedly being expelled for drug conspiracies, Duwop chose to pursue the military for the next six years. After returning from two tours of duty in Iraq, Duwop then decided to launch his own record label and management company in Chicago. After Duwop released his biggest single “Taking Breathes” featuring Chief Keef, his career started to soar.

CTC Crazy Duwop would soon relocate to Oregon state to pursue an additional career in Data Center Engineering with IT heavyweight Amazon Web Services. While living in Oregon and Washington state, he proceeded to become an engineer through his six years spent on the west coast. Upon returning to Chicago, his new management company became more of a reality than a profitable hobby. CTC Crazy Duwop transitioned to music executive/management, artist development, and A&R, which introduced him to new players within the local and national music communities.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road to success. It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears over the years. I experienced a lot of struggles (Mentally, Financially & Emotionally) during this timeframe, which helped me stay persistent and self-motivated. I’ve lost a lot of loved one’s due to senseless gun violence (including my Mother & my best friend). Not to mention, the loss of his father at the age of 7 years old. There were numerous sleepless nights, but I still managed to continue chasing my dreams, as well as trying to inspire & motivate our youth.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a man of many hats. However, I have always had a passion for the music industry. I am currently a Music Executive/A&R, and I specialize in artist development, artist management, and music distribution. I am known for my relentless work ethic and my music catalog from my timeframe as a musician. I am most proud of my two beautiful kids and the fact that I was able to prove a lot of people wrong throughout life by changing my life around completely. What sets me apart from others is my level of wisdom and my unselfish willpower to help others succeed.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
