Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony & Ashley Bradburn. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Our love of food started many years before we’d ever met each other. There’s an unexplainable feeling that comes over your being when you witness a loved one or stranger express pure satisfaction from a dish you’ve prepared. And we both sprinkle a lot of love into our food. (Cheat code listen to Anita Baker🎶)

Tony is classically and formally trained in French Cuisine, Asian Cuisine, Mediterranean Cuisine, Latin Cuisine, and naturally the South’s Favorite: Soul Food. Ashley mastered her skills through years of mentorship from her mother, Paulette Johnson. In addition to preparing 1-3 meals daily for her growing family. She is the General Manager/Sous Chef/Creativity Director Tony, CEO/Executive Chef. He started his journey 23 years ago at the tender age of 15. The oldest of four, he was often tasked with preparing small meals for those siblings. He became bored with instructions on the box, so he’d tap into his creativity and experiment with spices, sauces, and presentation.

2020 was the year the world shut down. The Food and Beverage industry was one of the first to feel the impact. The epidemic and the need for survival sparked the light bulb that evolved into 24 Katering. Our goal is to treat our “FAMILY”, not guests or customers, as VIP’s.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a mixture of great heights and humbling lows.

Starting out, we were learning as we were growing. The struggle was to accept that perfection develops from repetition, proper planning, and execution.

It’s also a struggle to accept that in business, no matter the effort applied, you can’t please EVERYONE. I want to please everyone that trust us to prepare cuisine for their consumption. I

It WAS a struggle initially, being married and business partners isn’t for the weak. But, with repetition and understanding, we conquered that obstacle. We move like a well-oiled machine.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
24 Katering stands for delivering Delicious food to our Deserving Family. We’ve built a strong reputation for our quality of food, our presentation, and our customer service.

We specialize in Event Catering. Birthday Parties, Wedding Receptions, Baby Showers’, ”Girls Night”, “Fellas Night” even Divorce parties.

We also offer The Private Chef Experience. In this package, we bring 3-5 course Fine Dining to your Home/Airbnb/Event Space. We decorate for you. We light the candles. The mood is set up just right for the perfect ‘Date Night’. We never allow your glass to go below the half mark. We control the flow of service. As soon as you complete your app, we’re bringing out your entree, and once it’s complete the dessert is on its way.

We offer both conventional family-style meal prep and Fitness Meal Plans for diets or specific allergen-free meal prep.

Soon we will start offering cooking classes for couples, kids, senior citizens, etc.

I’m most proud that we’re business owners. Paulette and David Johnson, Ashley’s parents, were business owners. My parents, Tony Bradburn and Finis Whorley, worked for someone. We Broke a generation curse together, and I’m Super Proud of that. I’m proud of our resilience to adversity. Proud of the passion we’ve displayed so far. Obstacles have risen against us. Finances were tight at times. I’m proud of the adjustments we’ve made, thru trial and error, that make us better every second of the day.

The CSRA is saturated with so many talented Chefs, Caterers, Bakers, Home Cooks, not to mention the local eateries. What sets us apart from others? We don’t look at the other entrepreneurs as competition. We’d rather collaborate before we’d hate. Also, we don’t have a genre that we fit into. The training and experience I’ve gained over my career allow me the confidence to say, “We can prepare you whatever you want”, and last but definitely not least, “WE want EVERYONE in Business to win!!!”

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Biggest lesson from the epidemic –
