Community Highlights: Meet Ana-Alicia Wagner of Ashthrone Booking LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana-Alicia Wagner.

Hi Ana-Alicia, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been going to shows since I was 15. As I grew up I never figured I would work in music, just enjoyed the shows I would attend and the communities that I gained out of it. After switching my major 5 times, I finally found out what I wanted to do and knew I wanted it to revolve around music somehow. I graduated with a marketing degree. Most of my friends were a part of a band or somehow a part of the music community, and one in particular gave me the opportunity to do some of the bookings for his band, Phantom Dan. After working with Dan on this for a few months I realized this is what I wanted to do for a career. I started Ashthrone Booking in June 2025 and made it an official LLC that September. Since then I’ve put on a music festival of my own, alongside helping with other Athens local music festivals and putting on shows each weekend. So far in the first year I’ve put on & announced over 40 shows with many more in the works that’ll be announced!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
At the start it was rough, just because I was new to the booking scene and was learning as I went. The toughest struggle is getting into new venues where you don’t have a personal contact & they haven’t worked with you before.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Ashthrone Booking is a dark, alternative-forward music and event brand that curates high-energy shows rooted in emo, punk, and underground culture while still feeling inclusive and community-driven. It blends gritty, DIY aesthetics with polished promotion to create immersive, memorable experiences that feel both rebellious and intentionally crafted. I’m most proud of the community that has grown from Ashthrone shows. It gives local and touring bands a place to connect & for others in the community to find like minded people while enjoying the music that comes along with it.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
I wish I knew more of the ins and outs of production costs for shows. This includes ads, promotional material, and of course the venue production costs. It’s not something I even thought about the first few shows I put on.
