Today we’d like to introduce you to AnJae’ Monea’.
AnJae’, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m a 19-year-old boss from New Orleans, LA where I’ve been ambitious and desiring the greatest things in life. I became my own boss officially at age 15 when I started to sell Top Tier, quality extensions. It was an open market in my area at the time and I decided to take advantage of the opportunity present and began selling something that people questioned me daily, “where did you get your hair” so instead of making some else rich I decided to do it for myself. From that point, I began A journey that would take me from where I was to where I wanted to be.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s definitely not an easy decision to make when you decide to become your own boss. Unless someone tells you in advance what you’re getting yourself into, you’re in constant shock. My perspective of Getting orders and sells at the beginning of me starting my business was all wrong. I “EXPECTED” family and friends to be my support when in a fact they support the least. Which requires more work and advertising from you. It took me a while to get my 1st order. The key was consistency and to this day consistency is the key to success.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
I’m the owner of an amazing hair extension company where I provided the best extensions and wigs to my amazing customers, I also do hair as well. I’m proud that my brand has grown and constantly keeps growing. I believe what sets me apart from others is the quality that I’m always providing and constantly looking for more to provide.
Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
My parents are both entrepreneurs. They have always taught me to go after a bigger dream, to be something major in life and be successful. My parents encouraged me to always be my own boss and to focus to live the life I want. That played a major effect on me. My mother, making her 1st million before 30 and my father building global brands they have both been major role models to me.
