Conversations with the Inspiring Lindsey Ryan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Ryan.

Lindsey, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started cosmetology school while finishing high school. I started at a very young age. I was told if you want to become great at anything, you have to become obsessed with it. So, that is exactly what I did. I have always had the drive to be great, but it is difficult experiences throughout life that is what made me stronger and allowed me to keep pushing for my dreams. I have worked behind the chair for 19 years. Originally from Oklahoma, then lived in LA for several years working and assisting some of the best in industry. That is when my session hairstylist journey began. I have worked several NYFW several times and been published in magazines. I’m in love with the ever-evolving fashion industry, that keeps me constantly inspired. The love of my family has kept me moving. After LA, to Kansas City, and now, to Atlanta. I have lived in ATL for 2 years now and love the vibe and all the opportunity this city has to offer.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To be great at whatever you do, you have to work hard for what you really want. Become obsessed with it. Never stop learning and never let the love for it die. Keep evolving and growing as an artist.

What should we know about Atlanta Extension Specialist and Creative session stylist? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a Hairextension Artist and specialize in tape in and fusion bonds. I am also a haircutter and Colorist. Specializing in Balayage. 19 years working behind the chair. I love transforming clients. What sets me apart is my experience and education. I am certified in 4 different extension brands. I have been applying hair extensions for 13 years. I keep up with the newest and best applications and hair type. I work at Soren salon in Buckhead. Come in and let me transform you.

Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
My Mother. Her grace, strength and work ethic.
