Conversations with Allison Smith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Smith.

Allison, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started with my church. Decorating for church events, as time went by other people saw my work and liked it so I started decorating for other people. I started working from my garage and home, Later the word got around town and here I am decorating for bigger clients and I love it. It’s definitely my passion. I’m now working really hard trying get my own venue and serve my community and others abroad. It is my prayer that I continue to work hard and be the best decorator God has me to be.
Thank you for allowing me to share my story.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road but anything worth having comes with obstacles and some struggles in businesses. Overall I live the good days as well as the bad days.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I love being creative. I love creating things and making it come alive. I love seeing the happy faces of all my clients when they see the final touches of their event.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
When I was small my mother shared with me that I loved wild flowers in the field. She shared with me that I would pick them and place them in mason jars and bring them to her and tell her how much I loved her. My mother said that she knew someday I would be a decorator.
