Conversations with Anita Craig and Chauncey Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anita Craig and Chauncey Moore. The team shares their story with us below:

It started last year during Covid. Anita lost her job and relocated to Northern Alabama. That job ended after six months and she was unemployed again. The move was not a complete loss, however. While in Florence she met Mr. Chauncey Moore who happened to have a clothing line called Trvl Era. As luck would have it, Anita has roughly 20 years experience in the clothing industry including owning her own clothing store and a screen printing company with her sister. The two formed and instant friendship.

After sharing their goals, ideas and dreams, Anita and Chauncey went on to form a business partnership with the clothing line. One night, a long conversation about their love of travel, coffee and new adventures lead to talk about having their own coffee company. Chauncey learned Anita had really wanted to own a coffee truck. After a few more conversations, they took the leap and started a coffee brand: Trvl Love Koffee.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not. We started during Covid and with so much uncertainty surrounding everything including Anita’s unemployment it has been a lot of ups and downs. Chauncey lost his great grandmother in 2020.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I think we are most proud of just taking the leap of faith and starting a company during a pandemic while holding down full-time jobs. Anita is a parent to a wonderful eight- year-old. She has been running a business from two different locations. But we are determined to provide the best cup of coffee possible to our customers. We have partnered with coffee farms that are sustainable, offer select grade and fair trade. We partner with a female micro- roaster to bring the freshest coffee possible to the cups of many. Our coffee is essentially your passport to the world.

• Our Prices range from 8 dollars to 75.00 depending on the items being purchased. We have found creative ways to use Koffee & tea products, we have a brown sugar coffee scrub, whipped koffee Shea butter as well as signature koffees, tea and gourmet creamed honey.
