Conversations with Meshanda King

Today we’d like to introduce you to Meshanda King

Hi Meshanda, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always loved making things—it’s been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. During the pandemic, making jewelry became more than a creative outlet; it turned into a practice that helped me find balance in the chaos. It was a way to pour my energy into something meaningful and beautiful when the world felt anything but.

As things started opening back up, my partner encouraged me to share my jewelry at local markets. The support and excitement I received from the community transformed a hobby into a business that celebrates intentionality, healing, and embracing the dualities of life. Now, DualityClique is a blend of all the things I love—creativity, connection, and helping others express themselves. It’s been an incredible journey, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but the challenges have shaped DualityClique into what it is today. Early on, I had to overcome self-doubt—wondering if my creations were good enough to share. Running a business came with practical hurdles, from marketing to balancing creativity with logistics.

A turning point came during the pandemic when jewelry-making became part of my mindfulness practice. Creating pieces allowed me to connect deeply with myself and align with a sense of purpose. It was a meditative, healing ritual that helped me stay grounded while inviting a sense of play and ease into my daily routine.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The items I create and curate are rooted in the belief that what you wear should feel intentional—whether it’s because it carries meaning and energy or simply because you believe it looks dope. Either way, it’s about embracing your dualities—your light and shadow, strength and softness—and expressing them with confidence.

DualityClique is known for the bracelets! Each bracelet features gemstones known for it’s healing properties, such as amethyst for calm, rose quartz for love, and tiger’s eye for strength. Yes, these pieces are accessories—And, they serve as beautiful reminders to align your energy and practice mindfulness throughout the day.

What I’m most proud of? The connections, hands down. Whether it’s through my jewelry, listening sessions, or quick chats at a market, I’ve built a space where people can come express and adorn themselves. DualityClique is not just a brand—it’s a vibe. A place to explore, connect, and express your authentic self with ease, play, and a lot of joy. Every item, every experience offered, is about helping you feel seen, empowered, and totally in tune with your own energy. It’s all about showing up as you—no judgment, just love and intention.

How do you think about luck?
Luck has played an interesting role in both my life and my business. Sometimes, it’s felt like pure good luck—those chance encounters that spark new opportunities or open unexpected doors. These moments have always felt like a reminder to stay open and trust that I am being guided to the right place, even when I least expect it.

On the flip side, bad luck often shows up in the form of rejection or setbacks. But instead of seeing them as failures, I’ve come to view them as signs to pivot. Rejection really can be protection, and each “bad luck” moment has been an opportunity to reflect, adjust, and realign with what truly serves the growth of DualityClique.

So, whether it’s good or bad luck, both have shaped my journey. It’s about staying resilient and trusting that every twist and turn, whether unexpected or planned, is part of the bigger picture.
