Today we’d like to introduce you to Zel Omar.
Hi Zel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Zel Omar is a music artist, producer, engineer, director and entrepreneur from Long Island, New York, recognized for blending creative vision with executive-level ambition. With a foundation rooted in discipline, ownership, and long-term strategy, Zel represents a new era of artists who understand both the culture and the business behind it.
Musically, Zel Omar delivers a commanding presence—pairing modern hip-hop and trap influences with motivational themes centered on resilience, elevation, and dominance. His work reflects the mindset of an architect rather than a participant, crafting records that speak to ambition, independence, and self-made success.
In 2020, Zel founded Domination Entertainment LLC, an entertainment production company built to develop, produce, and scale creative ventures across music and media. Under his leadership, the company has contributed to projects that have earned RIAA Platinum certifications and Billboard plaques, solidifying his position not only as a creator, but as a proven executive force within the industry.
Rather than chasing clout, Zel Omar focuses on infrastructure—building brands, catalogs, and systems designed for longevity. His approach prioritizes ownership, creative control, and cultural impact, positioning him as both a recording artist and a strategic entrepreneur.
From an early age, Zel Omar demonstrated a deep commitment to his craft. By the age of 10, he had begun developing his skills as a lyricist, often writing multiple songs daily. At 13, in 2006, he began recording music under the guidance of DJ Johnny Juice of Public Enemy at a local recording studio, where he also gained foundational experience in audio engineering and music production.
In 2017, Zel advanced his professional career by interning at Platinum Sounds Recording Studios in Manhattan, working under the mentorship of Jerry Wonda of the legendary hip-hop group The Fugees. Through dedication and technical excellence, he rose through the ranks to become one of the studio’s lead engineers. Throughout his career, he has contributed to projects for a diverse range of artists across multiple genres, including Rich The Kid, Playboi Carti, Lil Yachty, Dave East, Akon, Cyndi Lauper, Wyclef Jean, Jadakiss, and Kranium, among others.
As he continues to expand his influence, Zel Omar remains committed to one mission: create with purpose, cultivate power, and dominate every level of the game.
