Hi Jayla, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hi friends 🙂 I’m Jayla Megs!

CEO/Founder of MegsOrganx, a plant based self + skin care brand for people with skin
Founder/Chief Architect of Creative Core Agency, a community and design consultancy for the everyday creative.
Host of This Little Light of Mine Podcast, for people on all walks of life with Christ.
& I am also a full-time digital creator, with a focus on faith-inspiring lifestyle, wellness, and beauty content.

My journey and where I am today has been a testament to God’s faithfulness and proof that our lives are meant to glorify Him. It is beautiful to watch my life unfold, day by day, season by season, experiencing the fruits of my labor and goodness of my God. At the age of 5, I developed Vitiligo, a skin pigmentation disorder, that caused me to face hardships with self confidence and problems “fitting in”, especially in elementary and middle school. Overtime, I learned to love myself, for the way God made me, and I have been an advocate for natural beauty ever since. This passion is what led me to creating my first baby, MegsOrganx, and has transferred into many other endeavors. The vision and hope for my business(es) is to create overall wellness of ones image, not only externally, but internally as well.

I attended Howard University, where I received my B.B.A in Marketing and fell in love with creating digitally. Whether it’s graphic design, web development, content creation, UX mapping, Blender animating, etc, I am truly a designer at heart. This passion, connected to my purpose of being a positive light in this world, led me to creating Creative Core Agency (previously known as Second To None Studios) and TLLOM Podcast.

I am immensely blessed to wake up everyday and live my dreams out in reality. With God as the author & architect of my life, there are no limits to what I will and can achieve and I’ll be continuing to enjoy the ride, wherever He wants to take me.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. I faced significant challenges, especially growing up with vitiligo. The bullying and negative comments about my appearance really impacted my self-esteem and contributed to a lot of unhealthy self-talk. It took time to shift my mindset and truly embrace the way God made me.

Imposter syndrome has also been a struggle. Even as I built my businesses and pursued my passions, I often questioned my worth and whether I belonged in the spaces I was entering. The fear of how others perceive me has been a constant battle, but I’ve learned to focus on my purpose and the positive impact I want to create.

Each challenge has taught me resilience and the importance of self-love. I’ve turned those experiences into motivation to advocate for others, reminding them that their worth isn’t defined by external perceptions. It’s been a journey of growth, but I’m grateful for every step along the way.

n my content creation career, I specialize in producing faith-inspiring lifestyle, wellness, and beauty content. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with hundreds of well-known brands, leveraging my platform to build meaningful partnerships that have also granted me financial freedom through social media.

What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built. It’s incredibly fulfilling to share helpful resources and opportunities with other inspiring creatives. I love fostering connections and encouraging others to pursue their passions, reminding them that they’re not alone in their journeys.

What sets me apart is my commitment to keeping God at the center of everything I do. My faith influences my content and drives me to create with purpose. I strive to uplift and inspire others, not just through my work, but by being a positive light in their lives. Ultimately, I want my platform to be a source of hope and encouragement for everyone I reach.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that most people might not know about me is that if I didn’t have a professional career in social media, I’d probably be completely off the grid and wouldn’t even own a phone! I truly cherish the little things in life—being present, loving others, and enjoying simple moments like smelling the roses and feeling my feet on the grass. I find so much joy in just being alive and grateful for each day. It’s a beautiful balance I strive for, even within the fast-paced world of digital creation 🙂
