Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaitlin Morgan.
Hi Kaitlin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I always knew I was meant to be a hairstylist. From the moment I got my cosmetology license, owning my own salon was the dream. I spent years working for other salon owners, learning everything I could and building my skills and clientele. Humbly speaking, my work ethic and drive are what brought me to where I am today—and eventually I realized I couldn’t keep pouring that energy into building someone else’s vision.
Taking the leap to open my own salon was scary, but it was necessary. I wanted to show my kids that there’s no limit to their success if they’re willing to work for it. I also wanted to create the kind of environment I felt was missing in other places I worked—supportive, inspiring, and truly team-oriented.
With the help of some of my closest friends who shared that same vision, we built more than just a salon—we built a community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The first year of opening my salon was exciting, but definitely challenging. I quickly realized I had to wear many hats—stylist, leader, marketer, bookkeeper, and problem-solver. Behind the chair is my comfort zone, but learning the business side stretched me in the best way.
I stayed focused and patient. Not to mention, had a great team around me that contributed in different areas. That first year taught me resilience, leadership, and discipline. It wasn’t always easy, but it built the foundation for the strong, growing salon we have today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
One of my most requested (and favorite!) services to perform is customized hand-tied extensions. I do precise color matching to ensure every install blends seamlessly and looks completely natural. Extensions are truly an art form – it’s never one-size-fits-all. Every guest receives a tailored approach based on their hair type, lifestyle, and goals.
I also specialize in blondes and dimensional brunettes, which are my two most requested color services to date. Whether it’s a bright, lived-in blonde or a rich, multi-dimensional brunette. These are my favorite transformations. And while those are the two most popular services, I also master in precision hair cutting for men and women.
What I’m most proud of is establishing my own high-quality hair extension line. That actually came before the salon itself, and it’s what inspired the name KAIT Hair. Building a product line that prioritizes quality, longevity, and performance was such a defining moment for me as a stylist and entrepreneur. It allowed me to fully control the standard of what we offer our clients.
What sets me apart is my attention to detail and commitment to customization. I don’t rush transformations—I focus on hair integrity, seamless blending, and creating results that feel just as good as they look. Every client experience is intentional, elevated, and rooted in expertise.
How do you define success?
I define success as alignment—when your passion, your purpose, and your work ethic all meet. Of course, growth and profitability matter in business, but to me, success goes deeper than numbers.
Success is waking up every day and genuinely loving what I do. It’s seeing my team thrive, watching our clients walk out feeling confident, and knowing we’ve built something with integrity.
