Daily Inspiration: Meet Lakeisha Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lakeisha Brown.

Hi Lakeisha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started modeling when I was 16, I entered a modeling contest at Cumberland Mall. I was picked to walk in Macy’s fashion show. I walked in 7 shows that started from Macy’s. I stopped modeling when I was 18 to focus on College and from there I graduated became a Wife a Mom and a Nurse All at the age of 22. I walked back on the Modeling scene in the year of 2016 divorced with three children and exhausted emotionally. I wanted a fresh start so I started looking up model calls and attending with the mindset of I have to Win! because I was hungry for a Win. I started building relationships with local photographers and designers to build a portfolio and to gain more experience. I walked in local shows here in Atlanta and then to Chicago, Miami, New York and Barcelona Spain. Those shows put the wind under my wings.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road definitely wasn’t smooth, I was maneuvering through my challenges of being a mother of three, newly divorced, starting a new life, being emotionally confused, and having little to no savings left in my bank account. Knowing now those were the challenges that made me hungry, hungry for success and to win.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a serial entrepreneur. I’m a Model, Model Coach, Real estate owner/investor and part owner of an Amazon online store. I specialize in Modeling and all things Modeling. I’m known for Modeling and being a brand Ambassador. I’m most proud to be a mother. I feel my hunger sets me apart from others. failure isn’t an option.

How do you define success?
I define success by freedom, freedom of time and happiness.
