Daily Inspiration: Meet Tamia Símone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamia Símone.

Hi Tamia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Atlanta, Georgia, born and raised. I’ve lived all around the outskirts, but nothing compares to the city I know and love. Atlanta has shaped so much of who I am creatively and personally, and even if I ever decided to move away, I know I’d eventually find my way back.

Growing up, I was always interested in a lot of different things. I can be a little all over the place creatively because I genuinely enjoy exploring different passions, but one thing about me is that when I decide to pursue something, I give it my full effort.

I’ve been modeling for about five years now, and it definitely hasn’t always been easy. There were times where I felt overlooked or unsure of where things were headed, but I stayed patient and kept faith that what’s meant for me will come naturally. Through modeling, I’ve learned a lot about resilience, confidence, and staying true to myself even while evolving creatively.

Outside of modeling, I also started a business when I was 19 years old. I taught myself everything I needed to know about running things behind the scenes, and that experience showed me how capable and independent I really am. It was a huge learning experience for me, and even though I stepped away from it for now, I could definitely see myself revisiting it in the future.

I’m also someone who spends a lot of time reflecting and journaling. I tend to keep a lot to myself, so writing has always been a personal outlet for me when my thoughts feel heavy or overwhelming. I think that balance between being private, creative, and resilient is a big part of what makes me who I am today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve been through a lot of things people would probably never imagine just by looking at me or the way I carry myself. I was raised to always stay sharp and to never bleed in public, so I learned early on how to keep pushing forward no matter what was happening behind the scenes.

I’ve experienced homelessness, abuse, and situations where I was taken advantage of in ways no one should have to experience. For a long time, I was very private about my story because I never wanted to be defined by the things I went through. But over time, I realized that my resilience is one of the strongest things about me.

No matter what life has thrown at me, I’ve never allowed it to break me. If anything, it made me stronger, more self-aware, and more determined to become the woman I knew I could be. I’m proud of the person I’ve grown into, and I think my journey can inspire people who may feel like they have to suffer in silence or hide their struggles.

At the end of the day, I know who I am. I know I have a light in me, and that’s something nobody can take away or replace.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a creative person at heart, and modeling has been one of the biggest ways I’ve been able to express that over the years. I’ve learned a lot about resilience, confidence, and staying true to myself in an industry that’s constantly changing.

Outside of modeling, I’m someone who values personal growth and self-expression. I’m very observant and emotionally aware, and I think that naturally influences the way I connect with people and approach creative work. I’ve had moments where I questioned myself or felt stuck, but I’ve learned how important it is to keep evolving and not let temporary setbacks define you.

What I’m most proud of is the fact that I’ve continued to push forward and develop my own identity instead of trying to fit into what other people expect me to be. Over time, I became more confident in my individuality, my style, and the energy I bring into spaces. That confidence changed not only the way I carry myself, but also the opportunities and connections I attract.

I think what sets me apart is my authenticity. I’m not afraid to grow, change, or stand out. Whether it’s through modeling, creative projects, or everyday interactions, I want people to feel a sense of confidence, depth, and originality from me. I’m still evolving, but I’m excited about building a career and life that genuinely reflects who I am.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I’d just like people to know that growth is not always pretty or linear. A lot of people only see the polished version of someone, especially through social media or appearances, but there’s always so much more behind the surface. I think it’s important to give yourself grace while still holding yourself accountable to become the person you want to be.

I’m still evolving every day, creatively and personally, and I’ve learned that confidence isn’t about being perfect, it’s about knowing who you are even while you’re still growing. I hope people who come across my story feel inspired to keep going, trust themselves more, and stop feeling like they have to hide the parts of themselves that made them stronger.

Also, shoutout to Atlanta for shaping me into who I am. The city has such a unique energy, creativity, and culture, and I’ll always carry that with me in everything I do.
