Daily Inspiration: Meet Tiffany LaBoy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany LaBoy.

Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
To say I love Photography is an understatement. Photography has been a huge part of my life since I was a young girl. My parents loved nature and wildlife, so we were always traveling to beautiful wildlife preservations throughout FL. One of our beloved spots was the Viera Wetlands where we would spend a whole day just capturing all the beautiful wildlife there. We did this for years. My mom took a lot of time showing me what beautiful shots she had captured. Looking through the lens seeing what she saw awakened my soul! I knew this was what I wanted to do too. My mom is no longer here, she passed away suddenly in January 2011. My whole world turned upside down and nothing made sense but photography. My dad gave me her camera & it became my most prized possession. Seeing the world through my mother’s eyes, through a lens of a camera changed my view and prospective of everything! Life is short, and there are so many moments in time that just pass us by; however, I am blessed with the opportunity now to, one, carry on my mother’s legacy, and two, to capture these special memories and moments with just one click for many other families. I have the capability now of turning that moment into a lasting memory forever! I am driven by passion and give my whole heart into everything I do. God has blessed me with this beautiful gift and opportunity to be able to give back to the world. I truly look forward to getting to know your family and capturing beautiful moments in time so you can have them forever.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I wish it was a smooth road! But everything in life that you want, you have to work hard at and overcome challenges and struggles. You learn from it and continue to grow even more. Of course, there is the normal struggles and challenges, learning about lighting, skin tones, shading, etc. A lot of that I worked through, whether I was constantly watching editorials, practicing every chance I can, or going to Atlanta School of Photography to learn more so I could be the best I could be for my clients.

The thing I didn’t expect which has been my biggest obstacle and challenge has been my health. I was diagnosed with a very severe case of arthritis that is rapidly deteriorating my hands, wrists, & hips. There are days where I am in so much pain I can’t hold my camera or get out of bed. Editing also poses problems too, simple functions like clicking the mouse or gripping my editing pen. You don’t ever think that you can lose function of these things because you use them daily. My body is fighting against me daily, deteriorating my joints. However, I am on weekly injections to help slow down the deterioration but it is a daily struggle. Especially during peak sessions. I have found many ways to cope through the pain and I have an amazing support system.

So for now, I will continue to give all the glory to God and thank him for every day I wake up and still am able to do photography. It is my passion and I love being able to capture so many beautiful moments for everyone and plan to do this for as long as I physically can!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a local lifestyle photographer. I specialize with Families & Seniors, however, I photograph all parts of your life, I do elopements, engagements, maternity, newborns, milestones, cake smashes, seniors, college graduates, branding, headshots, and real estate. The only thing I really don’t do is weddings (unless of course, you are eloping.) I also have a lot of equestrian-styled photoshoots that I am becoming more and more known for. I work closely with local horse farms and do several sessions on their farms not only utilizing their beautiful land but utilizing their horses too.

I travel all over GA to do my sessions from North GA all the way down to Savannah, and I also travel to the East Central Florida near Daytona Beach to do sessions several times a year. I truly enjoy all of the different places I have traveled to with my clients to get them some of the best images possible and we always have so much fun while we are out doing these sessions.

I would like to think that my heart and passion is what sets me apart from other photographers, when you come to me you are not just another client to me. You become family. From start to finish we spend a lot of time together, figuring out the best location, finding the best color schemes and outfits for the session, going over all of the details that are most important to you. Come the day of the session, it is not rushed, we take our time during the session. I go for those natural moments to really bring out the emotions of everyone so I can capture those special moments and details. Then comes editing, I know your just as excited to see your images as much as I am, so when I am culling my images, I make sure to share some with you too! I truly want it to be a stress-free and fun experience any time you work with me.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Giving back to my community and helping those in need is a huge part of my business.

One thing that I offer at LaBoy Photography is sponsorships and payment plans. There are so many families out there who are dealing with hardships and unfortunately can’t afford to pay for professional services. However, I don’t want those hardships to ever prevent families from having beautiful memories preserved for them. I have 6 sponsorship slots that I give every year to local high schools for Senior Sessions for seniors who can’t afford to get their senior photos done. I also have 2 sponsorships that I give every year to two families who can’t afford to get professional photos done. So if you have fallen on a hardship, or you or someone you know are a low-income family and truly can’t afford to pay for a photographer to take professional photos of your family, than go to my website, https://linkr.bio/LaBoy_Photography, and click the link that says Sponsorship to apply.

I want to give back to my community and I want to make a difference where I can, so helping these seniors and families have been one way I have found I can help.

For those families who don’t necessarily qualify as low income but have fallen on hardship or you know, when life happens, that’s where I offer payment plans to make it easier for families to still be able to capture these beautiful moments & preserve their memories.
