Daily Inspiration: Meet Yella Vanella

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yella Vanella.

Hi Yella, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started in 1992, where Yella was born in Indiana. I began modeling at the age of eight months old, acting in musicals and side shows, playing sports and having an interest in my hobbies like drawing and my love for animals, to traveling the world playing sports and pursuing my career. One of my destinations was California, and after I got through a few years, I finally made it here. I am working on my company called A Yella Moment of Movements, which will eventually turn into a distribution company, and you will see all of my products come together to create a new path for those in need of help. Now as I grow, I will unravel my talents as the years go by and keeping up with what I already put out in the world. My main job now is a pet sitter and that is just one of my many talents. I can’t tell much more, but you will find out and see for yourself!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has not been smooth. Not at all. In the beginning, life was easy. I was with my agency at the time (Stewart Elite Talent Agency) as a child. I traveled, did photoshoots, and got to meet incredible people. I eventually took a little turn off the path, started hanging out with friends and learning about the real world and how tough it can get. I lost a best friend and I was slowly losing my mind not doing the things I knew I needed to do. I ended up leaving a bad relationship I was in, and I went to Georgia. Thats when i finally started A Yella Moment of Movements. I managed to break through, but went through hard times with my family and had to move again. Fast forward to me moving to California! I worked at a place called Moutaingate Country Club and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better job. After leaving there to pursue my pet-sitting business, I began to hit a snag and became homeless back in 2019. It was the hardest year of my life as I fought for help with a friend, ended up being alone in my car, getting kidnapped, being homeless during Covid, and much more. Finally, I made it through my situation and I am living in my own place taking better care of myself on my own. I have never been afraid of a challenge, but life can hit you and I know it will continue to. I haven’t given up yet.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I consider myself an artist because of the things I do want to do in my future. That includes starting from scratch, helping people and taking the time to be selfless. I hope to bring the people back together, and I have confidence within my craft that I can. That is why I work hard now! I am most proud of the fact that I am a jack of all trades. Growing up not having close siblings, has caused me to be have a tough and soft exterior and interior. It made me become more adaptable to my surroundings and I literally can do anything! What is really going to set me apart of the types of adventures I will get myself into to give the world a piece of mind that we are light. Light is truth. The truth is to be you, so be true. I want to make sure I don’t hide from the world so the world doesn’t hide from itself.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
I wish that I really had more of a support system growing up mentally. My advice is to never worry about what you are doing. Worry about how it makes you feel. That will let you know if what you are doing is right for you and then you can make the change as the time goes by. We get so caught up into the materialistic side of life that we forget our bodies are so important and they talk to us. Don’t ignore when you don’t feel right. Don’t ignore when something is off. Question every single thing because things that are for you will have NO PROBLEM answering them truthfully. YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Ever. If you feel alone, it because the things around you ARE NOT FOR YOU. Whatever it is. Never seek revenge. I promise you if someone did you dirty, they will pay for it. You don’t have to do a thing. Never be afraid. Have the fear, but don’t let it stop you. Someone is there to catch you every single time. You can always reach out to me on social media and chat if you ever feel alone. Just remember why… because I said so.
