Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Hannah St. Louis
Hi Dr. Hannah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Massachusetts, graduated with my doctorate in Physical Therapy at 24 years old. My career in Physical Therapy has brought me through various clinical settings including owning my own clinic precovid in the Conyers area. My training and education that allowed me to rehabilitate clients after physical injury or disease helped me foster a desire to walk people through processes and journeys related to their identity, emotional and relational intelligence. My strong interpersonal skills and innate ability to connect with people with empathy drove me to become a certified Transformational Life Coach.
I now am living a very fulfilled life as I am able to impact people as a Physical Therapist with 15 years of experience and a Life Coach.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not been without bumps and hurdles along the way. I went to 2 PWIs (private college in Springfield, Massachusetts where I earned my bachelors and masters and a large university in Troy, New York where i earned my doctorate In college as I pursed my degrees for PT (physical therapy) I was faced with the culture shock of always being the only black person or 1 of very few black faces in my classes. I always felt as if I had to be representative of my entire race while I was in those spaces (as many black people in American do), that pressure often weighed on me.
An additional struggle was the struggle of the high demand course work during my schooling, 18 credit semesters and some years I would take courses all year round (no summer break).
I also had to conquer imposter syndrome entering into the life coaching space. It’s easy to see this space as over saturated and question what unique value that can added by you.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Grace Makes Space ?
Grace Makes Space (GMS) is my Transformation Life Coaching company birthed from Ephesians 1:6 which says “To the praise of the glory of HIS GRACE, in which He has made us ACCEPTED in the Beloved”
In layman’s terms, because of the grace of God (His favor we didn’t have to earn) we are now accepted in the Beloved (who is Jesus Christ). God’s grace has made room for us, His grace has made space for us to be included in the family of God, hence “Grace Makes Space”.
Under GMS I provide transformational life coaching to the multifaceted, talented woman who is frustrated knowing she is in the middle of having, gifts, talents, abilities, skills, education but doesn’t know who she is outside of what she can do! I work through identity in Christ and hold onto the conviction that you have to know God so you can know yourself.
I offer 1:1 coaching and have a 5 step Identity Coaching program. I believe what sets me apart from others is everything that I teach in my 1:1 sessions and in my program I have walked out and lived out personally and I have an uncanny ability to help people connect the dots and walk out their own identity process as well.
I am very proud of the women and men I have been able to provide clarity on their identity and qualitative results that will have a ripple effect in all areas of their lives.
Along with Transformational Life Coach that can be booked via my website www.gracemakesspace.com, I also offer faith based merch with identity affirming messaging created by me.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is taking road trips to Florida with my mom and dad and my 4 siblings. My dad would drive and my mom would ride passenger and me and my siblings would ride in the back of my family’s Ford 1985 Econoline 150 van. The back seat folded out into a bed and all of us kids would laugh and joke and lay across the bed, the Ford van also had 2 TVs with a VCR player and we would watch our favorite Disney movies. The journey took 20+ hours from Massachusetts to Florida and my dad make sure we stopped along the way to see various states, eat my mother’s fried chicken and home made blueberry muffins and make a special stop to get ice cream near South of the Border in South Carolina. I am grateful for a happy, healthy childhood.
