Today we’d like to introduce you to Lea Morales.
Lea, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello, my name is Lea Morales, and I’m a 23-year-old marketing creative, entrepreneur, and founder of L’Mor Marketing Co., a faith based digital marketing agency based in Atlanta. Those closest to me often joke that “marketing” is basically my middle name because it’s genuinely the way my brain thinks. I naturally see branding, storytelling, strategy, and creative direction in everything around me. My journey in marketing started during my freshman year of college when I entered the fashion industry as a wholesale representative for The Smith Agency at AmericasMart Atlanta. At the time, I had no idea how much that experience would shape the next several years of my life. Working market weeks taught me the fast-paced nature of branding, sales, customer connection, and trend forecasting.
As a creative myself, I was naturally drawn toward social media and brand storytelling. During my sophomore year, I applied for a Social Media Internship at The Smith Agency, despite feeling completely underqualified because the role was intended for upperclassmen. Still, I took the chance and applied. By the grace of God, I received the position. That opportunity changed everything for me. Lillian Smith, the owner of the agency, took a chance on me and became one of the most influential mentors in my career. As the Social Media Intern, I was given creative freedom to fully immerse myself in understanding the brand’s voice while simultaneously discovering my own signature style as a marketer and creative director. I learned how to take the identity of a company and translate it into content that genuinely connected with people. At the same time, I also worked as a Leasing Professional and Marketing Coordinator, where I managed resident events, social media campaigns, flyers, and marketing initiatives. This experience further strengthened my ability to blend strategy, branding, and community engagement while adapting to entirely different industries.
My junior year of college became one of the most defining seasons of my career. I was invited onto the Board of Directors at The Smith Agency as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations. In this role, I completely managed the agency’s marketing presence, social platforms, PR initiatives, and brand strategy. During that time, I increased social media engagement by over 60% across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn while helping expand the company’s visibility and recruitment efforts. One of my proudest accomplishments was building and launching the first ever marketing department in the agency’s 17 year history. I developed the application process, recruited and mentored team members, established workflows, and led integrated marketing campaigns and branded events. We created foundational systems that strengthened the company’s market positioning and increased client engagement significantly. I also designed and implemented a company wide communication system serving more than 200 employees across two markets. That experience taught me how much leadership, communication, and organization matter behind the scenes of every successful brand.
Beyond digital marketing, I had the opportunity to execute large scale experiential campaigns and events. One of my favorites was planning and designing The Smith Agency’s Sweet 16 celebration in collaboration with Stratford Hill Showroom after a full day at AmericasMart. From PR coordination and branded decor to social coverage and event execution, it was one of the first moments where I realized how much I loved combining marketing with immersive experiences. Throughout college, I became heavily involved with the American Marketing Association, where I was invited to speak as a panelist alongside professionals from organizations such as Georgia Power and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. I shared my experiences in internships, social media marketing, and leadership as a young PR and Marketing Director. Being able to speak to students and professionals while still growing in my own career was incredibly meaningful and showed me the importance of mentorship and giving back. I was also invited by ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals For America) at Georgia State University to lead a Social Media Marketing Workshop and design competition where students were able to apply real time marketing concepts creatively and strategically. Watching others grow confidence in their abilities reminded me why I love this field so much.
As my career continued developing, I expanded beyond fashion and beauty into sports marketing. I collaborated with LALIGA, C11 Marketing, and the Real Madrid C.F. Peña Atlanta, serving as an ambassador and helping execute fan engagement experiences and social media activations in Atlanta. Shortly after, I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with the Media and Operations Services department during the first ever FIFA Club World Cup hosted in the United States. Working behind the scenes with journalists, photographers, broadcasters, and press conferences gave me hands on experience in high pressure global sports media environments. After sharing my FIFA volunteer journey online, the experience unexpectedly reached over two million views across my platforms. I was later invited to serve as an official Volunteer Ambassador for the FIFA World Cup 2026, proudly representing Atlanta while encouraging future volunteers and sharing my story through FIFA’s official volunteer channels.
By my senior year of college, I was promoted to Head Director at The Smith Agency, overseeing directors, managing cross functional collaboration, and continuing to lead the agency’s marketing initiatives. When I graduated in December 2025, I took everything I had learned, every risk, every lesson, every opportunity, and a whole lot of faith and launched L’Mor Marketing Co. Today, my agency focuses on helping brands tell meaningful stories through creative marketing, branding, content creation, and strategy. More importantly, our mission goes beyond business. L’Mor Marketing Co. is built on faith, service, and community impact. We proudly give back 10% of every booking to support the unhoused community throughout Atlanta and the surrounding areas because I believe creativity should always create room to help others. Looking back, it feels like I’ve lived several different careers already, but truthfully, I believe this is only the beginning. Every experience from fashion markets and PR campaigns to sports media and entrepreneurship has shaped who I am today. Above all, I’m grateful to God, the mentors who believed in me, and every opportunity that allowed me to grow into the leader and creative I continue striving to become.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In short, no; it definitely has not been a smooth road. I truly believe that good things take time, failure, growth, constructive criticism, and a willingness to constantly learn and adapt. One of the biggest challenges I faced was building and leading a marketing team completely from scratch without ever having done it before. At first, I thought I had everything figured out. I had detailed plans, clear goals, and a vision for exactly how I wanted everything to operate. But once the real work began, the communication, leadership, delegation, and day-to-day management, I quickly realized that experience teaches you things no plan ever can. Initially, I wanted to build a team of ten people. However, while still balancing college, internships, and leadership roles, I realized very quickly that managing a team that large would require far more time and structure than I realistically had at that stage in my life. Scaling back to a smaller team of four ended up being one of the smartest decisions I could have made. It taught me that strong leadership is not about doing the most it’s about building sustainably and intentionally.
Another major personal challenge was learning how to delegate work and trust others. As a perfectionist, I often felt that it would be easier to just do everything myself because I knew exactly how I wanted it done. I would rather spend ten extra hours perfecting something on my own than risk it being done differently by someone else. But I learned very quickly that mindset leads to burnout. Over time, I realized that great leadership is not about controlling every detail, it’s about empowering people. I had to learn how to trust my team, communicate expectations clearly from the beginning, and recognize that everyone brings different strengths to the table. Once I stopped trying to make everyone work exactly like me and instead learned how to use each person’s unique strengths as an asset, everything changed. Being young and ambitious, I always held myself to an extremely high standard, so stepping back and allowing others to take ownership was incredibly humbling for me. But honestly, that challenge shaped me into a stronger leader. It taught me patience, adaptability, communication, and trust, all qualities that are now foundational to how I lead both my agency and my team today. I think one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned throughout my journey is that growth rarely happens in comfort. Some of my greatest learning experiences came from moments where things did not go according to plan. Looking back now, I’m grateful for every challenge because each one pushed me to become better, not just professionally, but personally as well.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
L’Mor Marketing Co. is a faith based digital marketing agency based in Atlanta, GA, built on the belief that creativity should create impact. At its core, our agency exists to help brands grow with purpose through strategic marketing, creative storytelling, branding, content creation, social media management, event planning, and intentional brand development. What makes L’Mor Marketing Co. different is that we are not simply focused on making content look aesthetically pleasing, but we focus on helping brands build meaningful connections with their audience while creating long term impact. Every campaign, strategy, and creative decision is approached with intention, authenticity, and purpose.
Over the past several years, I immersed myself in multiple areas of marketing including fashion, PR, social media strategy, experiential marketing, leadership development, sports marketing, and event execution. Those experiences gave me the opportunity to understand not only how brands grow visually, but how they grow emotionally and relationally with their audience. I wanted to create an agency that blended creativity with genuine purpose, and that vision ultimately became L’Mor Marketing Co. One of the things that truly sets us apart is our faith centered foundation. This business is more than a career for me, it is a calling that God placed on my life. In August 2025, while spending intentional time reflecting, praying, and seeking clarity about my future, I came across Isaiah 6:8: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” That verse became foundational to the mission behind this agency.
Because of that mission, giving back is deeply woven into our company culture. L’Mor Marketing Co. proudly donates 10% of every booking to support unhoused individuals and underserved communities throughout Atlanta through the Proverbs Foundation. For us, success is not just measured by analytics, numbers, or engagement; it is measured by impact, service, and the ability to uplift others through the work we do. We specialize in customized content creation, brand strategy, ongoing marketing support, social media management, event branding, and creative campaigns tailored specifically to each client’s voice and goals. I believe every brand has a story worth telling, and our role is to help bring that story to life in a way that feels authentic and memorable.
Brand wise, one of the things I am most proud of is that L’Mor Marketing Co. was built from genuine passion, faith, and years of hands on experience. From designing the logo at the end of 2024 to officially launching after graduating from Georgia State University in 2025, every step of this journey has been intentional. I’m proud that our agency represents more than just marketing services; it represents community, creativity, leadership, and purpose. I want readers to know that L’Mor Marketing Co. is not just another agency trying to follow trends. We are building a brand that values people first. Whether we are helping a small business elevate its social presence, planning a branded event, or developing a creative strategy, our goal is always the same: to serve with excellence, lead with authenticity, and create meaningful impact both online and within the community around us.
