Hidden Gems: Meet Noa Bisette of Beads by Bisette

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noa Bisette.

Hi Noa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It all began the summer before middle school. My mother gifted me a clear rectangular plastic box. The box was filled with at least a hundred beads of different shapes and colors. Beading became a form of freedom for me. It was something I had never done before. I was able to physically express myself through design. Putting the beads through string and assembling them into certain patterns and personalizing the colored beads to my liking was thrilling; I discovered creativity within myself that I never knew existed. Making bracelets for family and friends quickly became my passion, and that eventually led me to establish my own personal line of hand-crafted bracelets.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
In spite of having a clear understanding of how I wanted to run Beads by Bisette, it wasn’t an easy start. Along the way, this recurring question came across my mind, “Can you really do this?” Growing up I had some insight on how to run a business through summers spent at my grandparent’s dry cleaners. But even with that exposure, I had no real-life experience of running my own. Once I was able to establish a foundation, the orders started coming and the self-doubt turned into satisfaction! As a business student, I hope to expand my entrepreneurial skills.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Beads by Bisette?
Beads by Bisette is a bracelet company based on two concepts. We have a planet and horoscope themed collection. Each product is hand-crafted and customized. Our planet-themed bracelet collection consists of unique gemstones and rocks, such as lava, agate, and amazonite. Our Zodiac Charm bracelet collection consists of 12 bangle bracelets inspired by the astrological signs. Each charm bracelet is customized per person, including their zodiac sign, gemstone, and inspirational word. Overall, I enjoy using my passion for creating a stylish, comfortable, and affordable jewelry line to add to your collection.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I’ve always heard of people celebrating their big wins or accomplishments. But, as a business owner, I realized that big wins aren’t going to happen overnight; it could take days, months, or years. So recognizing small victories helps provide some hope for bigger accomplishments. For example, I can remember how excited I was to receive my first out of state order and now receive orders from all across the country. By celebrating these small victories, I gain more motivation to keep going.
