Hi Sonae, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a small town girlie who loves fashion, beauty and had a dream . As a young girl growing up in north Philadelphia I knew I wanted more so when I was 20 years old I moved to Nyc to pursue my dreams. I started off modeling in music videos and magazines but what I loved most was the behind the scenes of wardrobe, hair and makeup. I really enjoyed seeing the transformation and watching the new look come alive. In 2008 I moved to Atlanta and attended Aveda institute in pursuit of opening my own hair salon so that I could build a team of beauties who made the town beautiful. Fast forward to now Hair Juku studios is celebrating is its 12th year in the business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
12 years of building solid relationships with women fromr all different walks of life has been easy but maintaining and growing a business is has not been. I had to downsize and rebrand as the years went by to stay with the times. I Las have taken a lot of risks when I thought it was necessary some stuck some did not. That is the risk you take as an entrepreneur .
