Hidden Gems: Meet Tiffany Amon of ROAM Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Amon.

Hi Tiffany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m an engineer by trade, and for years I was deep in the corporate grind while pursuing my passion for fitness on the side. I spent my mornings and evenings taking Pilates classes and eventually began teaching as well. Movement had always been a huge part of my life, but at the time it was something I balanced alongside my career rather than something I imagined building a business around. That changed in 2018 when I fell in love with the VersaClimber. The workout was intense, empowering, and incredibly effective. The best part? Classes were only 30 minutes, making it an incredible return on your time and energy. It immediately sparked an idea. I had already been a devoted member of a local Pilates studio and knew firsthand how powerful Pilates was for building strength and longevity. When I experienced CLIMB, I realized how perfectly the two methods complemented each other. That’s when the vision first clicked: what if these two workouts lived under one roof? That idea stayed with me long enough that I decided to chase it. I moved to Colorado to fully immerse myself in the VersaClimber method and began teaching the workout I had fallen so deeply in love with. The experience solidified my belief that this style of training could be something special, not just a workout, but a community. The vision for ROAM was also inspired by my love of travel, nature, and exploration. I wanted to create a space where movement felt like an adventure. Where people could push themselves physically while also feeling part of something bigger. When I returned to Atlanta, I decided to take the leap. While still working my corporate job, I began building the concept for what would become ROAM from designing the studio and shaping the programming to bringing together a team who believed in the vision. ROAM combines CLIMB, a VersaClimber-based cardio workout, and CARVE, our modern Pilates method. Together the classes deliver a powerful, low-impact workout designed to build both strength and endurance. What started as a personal passion project has grown into something far bigger. ROAM is a community where people come to challenge themselves, support and connect with one another, and feel stronger every time they walk through the door.

ROAM is proof that sometimes the biggest leaps start with a single climb.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a brick-and-mortar fitness studio was anything but a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was simply finding a space. Many landlords were hesitant to take a chance on another fitness concept, especially one that combined two modalities they weren’t familiar with. I heard “no” more times than I can count while trying to secure a location. Financing was another hurdle. As a first-time studio owner, it was difficult to convince lenders to take a bet on me and my vision. I was practically begging them to take my entire retirement and savings and trust that I could turn this idea into something real. There were many moments where the path forward felt uncertain. But each obstacle reinforced how strongly I believed in the concept and the community I knew it could create. Every “no” pushed me to keep refining the vision and finding another way forward. Looking back those challenges became some of the most important parts of the journey. They forced me to be resilient, resourceful, and fully committed to building something meaningful. And ultimately, they made opening the doors to ROAM that much more rewarding.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about ROAM Studio?
ROAM Studio is a boutique fitness studio in Sandy Springs, just outside Atlanta, built around two signature methods: CLIMB, a VersaClimber-based cardio workout, and CARVE, our Modern Pilates class. Together, the two modalities create a powerful, low-impact workout that builds both strength and endurance while remaining accessible for people at many fitness levels. What makes ROAM unique is the intentional pairing of these two methods. CLIMB delivers an intense, full-body cardio workout in a short amount of time, while CARVE focuses on core strength, control, and muscular endurance through Pilates-inspired movement. Members often take both, creating a balanced approach to fitness that challenges the body in different ways while supporting longevity. Beyond the workouts themselves, ROAM was designed to feel like more than just a place to exercise. The brand was inspired by a love of travel, nature, and exploration, and that spirit is reflected throughout the studio experience. From the mountain-inspired aesthetic to the energy of the classes, the goal is to create an environment where movement feels empowering and adventurous.

What I’m most proud of is the community that has formed around ROAM. At its core ROAM is about helping people feel stronger, more confident, and connected to their bodies and to the community around them.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
If I had to choose one quality that has been most important to my success, it would be grit. After working in the corporate world for over 15 years and studying business along the way, I learned early on that success rarely comes from a straight path. It comes from persistence, adaptability, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when things don’t go as planned. Building ROAM required that mindset every step of the way. There were plenty of obstacles, moments of uncertainty, and times when the easier option would have been to walk away. But I’ve always believed that if you truly believe in something, failure isn’t an option—you simply find another way forward. I actually opened ROAM while pregnant, which made the journey even more meaningful. In many ways the studio and my community were growing at the same time that I was. It was a reminder that building something meaningful in life whether it’s a business, a family, or a community requires patience, resilience, and a lot of heart. That perseverance is something I bring not only to running the business, but also to the culture of the studio. The same mindset we encourage in class is pushing through tough moments, showing up consistently, and believing you’re capable of more than you think
