Today we’d like to introduce you to China Jones-Burgess.

Hi China, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In early 2019, I began planning for my business with the support of my family. I started off with charm bracelets, but a lack of resources for quality product photos. Although my promotional status was not well developed, I still had lots of support from many family and friends. Just remember my first real pop-up shop, where I had won a brand new iPad in a raffle I was entered in and seeing the support from family, friends, and my community. It was one of the best experiences ever as a first-time business owner.

Recently this year, I have decided to do a rebranding of my business. I wanted my business to focus on natural accessories, but also keep many remaining products in stock. I had a change of brand colors, new products, and even a brand new website!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not always been easy though. There were many times where I wanted to give up because I believed that I was not going to get any customers or because people may have thought my prices were too expensive. I would sit and think of ways to make my products better because I believed that was why I may have not been selling. Then I read something online before saying “Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, and difficulty.” and that quote changed the game for me.

Our Mission is to brighten up woman young and old, confidence and who they are by providing many different natural accessories and beauty products for a decent price. We envision a community where woman and young girls are confident and supportive of themselves and others by expressing their individual beauty through the designs we create.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk taking is quite scary sometimes, but when you know you love something and want to achieve it you have to set your mind directly to it. If not, then yes that risk will be one of the scariest things ever and you won’t be able to accomplish it without that love for what your’e doing mindset. Take that risk when it comes to something you love because you may not be able to do it later.
