Inspiring Conversations with Dr. Natasha Ward of Natasha Inspires

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Natasha Ward.

Dr. Natasha Ward

Hi Dr. Natasha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been called to a life in the well-being industry. I started breath work, meditation, affirmations, and visualizations at 3 years of age. From there, I continuously have utilized those four techniques, partnered with prayer, throughout each season of my life. However, it wasn’t until 2015 in which I was rear ended at a red light that the foundation of Natasha Inspires started. That car accident left me with a traumatic brain injury and other bodily injuries, so I had to rewire my brain, unlearn things, relearn things, and heal parts of my mind, body, and spirit. I ultimately placed selfcare at the forefront of my life. I had to figure out how to live in this new body and in this new reality. Because of that acceptance and desire for total healing, I truly learned what it meant to go from surviving to maintaining to thriving. It wasn’t easy by any standards, but I used (and continuously use) my experiences and the tools that assisted me with entering a space of overflow to now assist others in living a life that calls to them–however that may look for each person. I truly believe it’s my clients’ birthright to create a life that truly aligns with their values-– a life that they will consider non-negotiable.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I don’t think any business owner would tell you that sustaining a business over a course of years has been a smooth road without struggles. I think my main struggle has been health at some point and at other times, it has been being okay with taking a break and ensuring the right things are automated.

Because of the traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the beginning years of my business, I’m very cognizant of the necessity of rest, restoration, and rejuvenation. But just because I’m aware of it, doesn’t really mean that it comes easy for me to just plan that rest ahead of time. There are days I’m working after midnight, and then there are days, I choose not to work at all. For me, it’s about listening to my body and giving it what it needs on any given day. Since I’m one person, then the struggle is ensuring automation and that the right systems are in place, so I can rest as desired or needed. That’s where having the right business coach and listening to your intuition are essential.

People may say that having a waiting list or a lot of clients is a good problem to have, and that’s true to a certain extent. When that “good problem” became true for me, then my struggle was scaling. How can I scale my business in which I still give the same, if not, more value in a sustainable fashion (without needing me 100% of the time)? Because there are levels to scaling, that’s been my continual question over time, and that guides my business vision, products, and services.

So, for each season of my business, there’s another problem or struggle to solve. That’s the adventure of an evolving heart-centered coaching business; it evolves with me.

We’ve been impressed with Natasha Inspires, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Natasha Inspires is all about soul work and heart work. They are intertwined. To really honor your heart is to honor the whispers of your entire being–mind, body, spirit, and soul. It takes some unlearning and some shifts over time, but it’s totally possible. You don’t have to be constantly exhausted, heart broken, heart numbed, complacent, stagnant, or simply sad. Your cup can be full, and your cup can overflow. From the overflow is where you pour onto and into others. I specialize in helping you to get to that point–one step at a time. Fundamentally, I help women to reclaim their joy, align their life with their values, and set healthy boundaries, so they can live in a space of overflow and really understand how to holistically nurture themselves emotionally and spiritually.

Furthermore, I am able to execute the aforementioned through a mixture of digital products, physical products, and services both free and paid. For digital products, I offer e-courses on wellness, a self-care plan directory with audio guidance, workbooks for goal actualization and joy reclamation, as well as an annual 52 Weeks of WholeCare as a Lifestyle digital calendar for iCal and Google calendars. For physical products, I provide “Dare to Be Me” affirmation coloring books for kids, inspirational composition notebooks for humans, and healing prayer-intention-meditation personal blankets for those who desire a personal touch of love and comfort. For services, I currently offer a myriad selection of email-based oracle prescriptive readings, live workshops and courses, and whole-care transformative coaching to assist you with your journey of making yourself non-negotiable.

When I think about what sets me apart from others, it is the fact that I really meet my clients where they are through teaching, healing, and loving. Wherever they are, that’s where we start. Through teaching, I take a no-nonsense holistic approach to assist those with prioritizing their total well-being. I teach and live how to fill your cup and pour from an overflow with ease and grace. Through healing, I speak and breathe life through God’s/Goddess’ divine breath to the lost, and those who are suffering from emotional heart trauma. I am called to be a light that pierces the darkness of uncertainty in the soul of the person, leading them to their wholeness. Through loving, I honor your unique soul’s path and help you to reconnect with your soul’s mission and purpose through the light of love.

Through integrating the taught modalities, I guide you to return back to your center—the heart. I teach, heal, and love through a variety of different modalities such as but not limited to, intuitive readings, energy healing or restoring, coaching, sound healing, crystal healing, breathwork, meditations, chanting, resting, plant journeys, inward reflection, and other relevant products/services; the client can choose what will work for them based on their results. I do all of this with joy at the forefront. I celebrate my clients as they take their first steps and accomplish their personal goals from their work with me. Essentially, what sets me apart from others is I have lived and am still living exactly what I teach and share; it’s been over 30+ years of gathering information, insights, and research over time. I live what I teach; I teach who I am.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, when I think about my personality, I was a very detail-oriented, empathic, sensitive child. I observed before speaking, and I would become enraged by any accounts of injustice. Since I was 3, I meditated using the Transcendental Meditation Technique. I started using affirmations and visualizations, and I realized just how powerful my words were. Because my words and beliefs would come to life, which now people call, Manifestation.

Additionally, I was very inquisitive. I asked a ton of questions about everything–God, life, school work, etc. I just wanted to know everything and as much knowledge as possible. I loved to learn, listen to others’ perspectives, and research everything I was told. I was taught early on how to think for myself and was provided the tools through books (the internet wasn’t really a huge thing back then) to find answers that I wanted to know.

Through societal norms and traditional K-12 education, I was labeled “Gifted.” Everything that I did I wanted to do my absolute best, and I would not turn in an assignment until I felt like I did my absolute best, which meant that I could have been the last person to turn in my test because I double checked my answers or made sure I was clear on the directions; I probably stayed up late at night working on a project because after midnight I would get my inspiration. I also would go the extra mile in my homework, assignments, or anything else asked of me, and then afterwards, I still wanted continual enrichment.

Supported by parents and teachers, whatever I desired to learn or experience– whether it was learning a foreign language, learning to play an instrument, tutoring other students, participating in Mock Trial, volunteering at church, etc,– I was privileged with the opportunity at some point in time. I absolutely loved to serve others and give back, so a lot of organizations that I joined in high school were community service based.

Retrospectively, the way I grew up has had a huge impact on my current life and my beliefs on what’s possible. I truly believed I was here to serve the world in some way, and as time continued, that purpose has come to light and life.
