Hi India, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Ever since I was young, I’ve always had a deep love and compassion for animals. I naturally connected with them and cared about making them feel safe, understood, and comfortable. As I got older, that passion turned into a career, and I realized I wanted to create a grooming experience that felt different from the traditional fast-paced environment many dogs are used to.

I started So Fresh Pets with the goal of creating a more relaxing, luxury, spa-like experience where fur babies could feel calm, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. I wanted grooming to be more than just a service. I wanted it to feel like self-care for pets while also building trust with them one-on-one.

Along the way, I also became passionate about educating pet parents on how important grooming truly is for a dog’s health, comfort, and confidence. Finding the right groomer for your baby matters, and I always want my clients to feel informed, supported, and confident that their pets are being treated with patience, love, and care. Today, I’m grateful to continue growing a business that combines my passion for animals with luxury care, enrichment, and a stress-free grooming experience.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been building a business from the ground up while trying to balance everything that comes with being a business owner. There were a lot of moments that required patience, faith, and persistence, especially while creating the exact experience and environment I envisioned for So Fresh Pets.

Another challenge has been educating pet parents on the importance of grooming and helping people understand the difference a calm, one-on-one luxury environment can make for their dogs. I’ve always wanted pets to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for instead of rushed through appointments.

Of course there were moments of self-doubt and growing pains along the way, but those experiences helped me grow both personally and professionally. Seeing nervous dogs become more comfortable over time and building trust with pet parents makes every challenge worth it.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something people may not know about me is that I’m very faith-driven and God-fearing. My faith has been one of the biggest things keeping me grounded throughout my journey as a business owner. Building a business comes with a lot of pressure, uncertainty, and challenges, and there were many moments where I had to lean on faith, perseverance, and trust in God to keep moving forward.

I truly believe my love and compassion for animals is part of my purpose, and I try to lead my business with patience, kindness, integrity, and care. Behind the luxury and branding of So Fresh Pets, there’s a genuine passion for making pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while also creating meaningful relationships with their owners.

I also think people would be surprised by how personal this business is to me. I’m very hands-on with every detail, and I put a lot of heart into creating an experience that reflects who I am, what I believe in, and the type of environment I want pets and their families to feel when they walk through the door.
