Inspiring Conversations with Nancy Hagler of Fresh N Clean

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nancy Hagler

Hi Nancy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For the longest time growing up, my family always said I was going to be an interior designer, an artist, a singer. Whatever I put my mind to, was going to happen for me.

Once I joined the workforce at 15, I realized that customer service is the foundation of every business in the world. What do we want? Who is asking? Why? This, combined with my schooling, changed my view on which subjects hold the most importance for my personal growth in a consumer driven society. I quickly became enthralled with the study of people and the bigger question – What does it all mean? A quick trip down the rabbit hole.

My trajectory hit somewhat of a standstill, I would say, around 21. I became a workaholic. Always money hungry, unable to care for myself in order to pour into others. I was losing focus of where my future was heading while acquiring random skills along the way. No real intention, running on autopilot.

Then, BAM! You meet someone, move out of your hometown, quarantine, have a baby, adopt a cat. You know, life happens. Years later, you move back home to find the next catalyst comfortably.

When I first left Georgia, I felt so much pain and resentment towards the city and the places I used to explore as a kid. Coming back as an adult to pave my own way, has given me the opportunity to fall back in love with where I’m from. This town, these people, the culture has shaped me into the woman I am today. I can proudly say I am an ATLien, Roswellien to be more precise. Not born, but definitely raised as a Georgia peach.

Currently, I am the business owner of Fresh N Clean, a residential cleaning company on the northside of Atlanta. I’ve been cleaning professionally for over 2 years, split between one local family owned company and on my own. When I am not cleaning, I work full time in fine dining at an independent living and memory care community. These two professions allow me the chance to help people in their home and to continue learning about life.

My work is my artform and my family is my inspiration. Every action progressing me is done with intentionality. Every day, I fall more in love with what I do and I feel so blessed to have the support and team I’ve had with me along the way. Thank you to those people who have allowed me to take charge of my life in a way that is fulfilling, dutiful, and altruistic. All of this is for my daughter Alma, so she can be proud of her mom and have the life she so truly deserves.

With Love

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
With any great success comes hardship. The only way to grow is to make mistakes and learn from them. I believe every job and relationship I’ve had in my life has prepared me for the path I am on now. There have been times in my life where I felt I had nowhere to go, too prideful to ask for help and let myself sit in the struggle because I thought that made me strong.

Sometimes you need to prioritize your physical and mental health, remove yourself from toxic environments, and challenge yourself to level up your life in ways you only dreamed possible. My resilience through every hard moment and my support system really showed me how strong I can be when I have the right people around me. I rely heavily on my faith in keeping me grounded, positive, and humbled. Knowing there are just more blessings coming my way makes any negativity or bump in the road one step closer to the destination. So, for anyone who is on the path to greatness right now, keep going! It is hard, but the blessings always outweigh the struggle ten fold. Use your resources and you’ll find yourself on the other side soon.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Fresh N Clean is a residential cleaning business based out of Kennesaw, GA. I specialize in routine and deep cleans, organizing and overall home related care. I am known for always doing a great job.

This company is different than the bigger companies because every bit of work you see is done by myself, the owner. The services, communication, marketing, content, scheduling, inventory is all done with care and each specific client in mind.
I’m all about making my clients feel comfortable and seen. I do everything I can to meet their needs and put forth the extra effort because my work represents me.

I am beyond proud of the growth and support I have seen from friends, family, and existing clients. This company is a single person operation as of right now, less than a year old. Scheduling is filling up fast on my current schedule, however, more influx of business will allow me to commit full time to growing the company into an established operation by the end of the year.

Services offered, pricing and availability can all be found on the company Facebook page or by contacting [email protected]. I look forward to growing the Fresh N Clean family in the coming years.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Some major lessons I have learned is:

You can’t be mad at someone for not meeting your expectations of them. Allow people to show up in your life how they can and show gratitude in areas necessary. Set boundaries and relinquish the idea you are owed anything.

Hard work is rewarded with more work. This can be negative if you let it, but allow yourself to view this is a challenge and overcome it. The real reward is your success.

Success is not all about money. When you are able to do your work, whatever that is, with integrity and care then you will always be successful because you are contributing back to others and building genuine connections.
