Tony wright shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Tony, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I recently got married and I wanted to make sure that I could do more in life. I love to work but knowing I have someone who loves me and also my career.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tony Wright and I am film producer and showrunner from South Carolina. I love to create content that is not only positive but also make people fall in love with stories and characters. I was once a child who liked television so much that if I was on punishment I would ask my parents question just so I could see what isvon television that got me to now create my own relationship drama called 80/20 Rule The Grass Is Not Greener.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The one person that saw me doing something in this world of film was a elementary teacher. Her name was Mrs. Hammett she was a 3rd grade teacher who pushed to make sure I understood not only grammar but also be able to understands how yo be creative as well.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I was finishing undergrad and I had realized that we didn’t have money for the shows and one of my staff had stole clients from me. I was so crush because I had to sue them and start from scratch or I felt that way.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
The one person I admire the most is my father. Rufus Wtight he is a man who does everything for his family and showed me what sacrifices are.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What light inside you have you been dimming?
I was some9ne that would not given the opportunity to thank others about the acknowledgement it could be small as getting a new client or it could be as big as obtaining my graduate degree. Ive someone informed me that never dim what God gives you.
