Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiva Perry.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Kiva. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
There were many things that shaped me as child, but the one thing that left a lasting impression on my life was my will to help others. I didn’t realize my calling was to be a high end marketing consultant ,because looking back on my childhood i struggled with basic communication skills. However, having to complete speech therapy programs changed my life and broaden my outlook. With being able to communicate more efficiently, I became comfortable in all environments ; leading me to have experiences that your average teenager wouldn’t have. I was able to cheer for the Atlanta Falcons at the age of 17. That opportunity allowed me to see how different industries and people from various backgrounds were able to work cohesively in the same company. I was able to apply that work technique into my daily interaction with those around me. Through my new mindset i was subconsciously fulfilling my purpose. While attending Clark Atlanta University I was to by help my fellow classmates with projects that needed creative direction. From there my passion for assisting others and marketing grew stronger. Now i spend my days bridging the gap between rising entrepreneurs, artist, visionaries and fortune 500 companies. Anyone with a goal i’ll assist them in achieving it.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My journey has been nothing short of trial and error. Due to societies unrealistic standards for women, trying to find my purpose and growing as a person at 22 years old was not always at the forefront of my mind. In order to not get consumed by societies stereotypes I had to focus on my values and desires to breakdown barriers for young women coming after me. My advice to the young women is to live your truth. Never become too closed minded to accept advice and guidance from others, but don’t let outside opinions steer you away from what’s near and dear to your heart. In the end, only you will know once you’ve found your calling.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with your work– tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I spend my days bridging the gap between rising entrepreneurs, artist, visionaries and fortune 500 companies. I specialize in marketing, managing, and public relations. Currently i’m most proud of my ability to effortlessly create and connect people. My creative approach is what sets me apart from others.
What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
The most important advice I can give a young women starting her career is to follow your intuition. I believe whatever you think in your head you can manifest into reality. Women need to understand their thoughts are powerful and they are completely in control of creating the life they want to live.
