Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Robbins.
Hi Alexis, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Growing up, I played every sport you could think of, from cheer & volleyball to flag football. I loved exercise and fitness as a kid so it made sense to pursue it as an adult.
I went to school at Georgia State University in 2016 for Exercise Science… After two years of college, it didn’t make any sense for me to be at a four years school for something I could get a certification in quicker. During this time, I was introduced to a Health and Nutrition Company called Herbalife which pushed me to pursue my certification in Personal Training. I decided to change my major to Health Science & Nutrition and took off from there.
In 2020, I started branding myself. I always saw myself in my own clothing. During the pandemic, I took a leap of faith and started my fitness line. I started off with waist trainers. A few months later, that passion grew into me launching a full-out fitness athleisure and apparel line.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Entrepreneurship and running a business is hard. Working a 9-5 is hard as well. I choose my hard and roll with the punches. I know that God is and will always provide for me. There have been dry seasons but I do my best not to worry about that.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I think that anyone who has created a way to get paid for something they are passionate about deserves an applause.
I consider myself a creative. I love what I do! My business has grown exponentially over the past three months through word of month! I think the key as an entrepreneur and running successful businesses is to do GOOD business. Where there is value, people will pay!
I’ve gotten the opportunity to work with some amazing women, mostly other entrepreneurs. Because of this, I’ve cultivated a space dedicated to coaching, consistency and community for my girls! My goal is to make them feel appreciated and a part of something BIG!
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I’d have to say surrounding yourself with individuals that love you, support you, uplift you and believe in your vision is important and has had the BIGGEST impact on me. I am beyond blessed and grateful for the people I have in my life. They’re so dope!
