Life & Work with Ashley & Traci Let’s Talk Midlife Crisis Podcast of Metro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley & Traci Let’s Talk Midlife Crisis Podcast

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started with an honest conversation over cocktails. We were talking about the changes we were experiencing—hot flashes, mood swings, sleepless nights—and the frustration of feeling alone in it. We realized that these conversations weren’t happening enough, and that so many women going through perimenopause and menopause were suffering in silence. That’s when we had our aha moment: Why not create a space where women could openly talk about these challenges?

From that conversation, Let’s Talk Midlife Crisis was born—a podcast designed to empower women navigating midlife, perimenopause, menopause, empty nesting, brains fog and dating. We wanted to build a community where women could share their stories, laugh, learn, and support one another through this life stage. Little did we know that what started as a passion project would grow beyond our wildest expectations.

Now, our show is syndicated into the Atlanta market, reaching even more women who need to hear that they’re not alone in this journey. It’s been an incredible ride, and we’re so proud to be helping women embrace midlife with strength and confidence.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
But the journey wasn’t without its obstacles. Starting a podcast meant stepping into the unknown. From figuring out the technology (hello, sound glitches!) to finding our voice as hosts, we faced plenty of growing pains. There were moments when we doubted if anyone would even listen. But what kept us going was our belief in the importance of these conversations.

Through persistence and passion, Let’s Talk Midlife Crisis slowly gained traction. The feedback from listeners was incredible. Women reached out, sharing how much they could relate to us and how much the show meant to them, how it made them feel seen, heard, and less alone. Overcoming those small hurdles made the journey even more rewarding.

It’s a testament to what happens when women come together, share their stories, and lift each other up—even when the path isn’t always smooth.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
What sets us apart is that we’re not just hosts; we’re career women who are going through these changes ourselves. We’re having real, relatable conversations that resonate because we’re living it, too. We believe our authenticity and the sense of community we foster are what truly make Let’s Talk Midlife Crisis unique.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
We love the energy and diversity that Atlanta offers. The city has such a rich culture, blending Southern charm with a vibrant, forward-thinking vibe. Whether it’s the incredible food scene, the thriving arts and entertainment culture, or the supportive community of creatives, there’s always something inspiring happening here. Being able to connect with women from different backgrounds and experiences has been a huge asset to our podcast, Let’s Talk Midlife Crisis.

If we had to pick one thing we like least, it would have to be the traffic! Navigating Atlanta’s traffic can be a challenge, especially during rush hour. It definitely tests your patience, but even then, it gives us time to catch up on podcasts, brainstorm new episode ideas, or just decompress. It’s a small price to pay for living in such a dynamic city, but it’s definitely something we could do without!
