Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmyn Davis.

Hi Jasmyn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started doing hair at the age of 9 years old. I always got a bratz doll head for Christmas so it either got braided or cut! Being the eldest sister I either did homecoming prep, school dances prep, and prom prep on my younger siblings.

High school was about the same. I started doing classmates hair and started experimenting on my own hair color as well so when I graduated I already knew what I wanted to do!

I attended Paul mitchell the school of Atlanta to obtain my cosmetology license after high school. I wanted to learn the best of the best in the hair industry!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In 2017 I opened my first salon suite! I was so happy to create my own environment to work in. I learned so much about my time management, marketing/advertising, and also how to connect with clients!

A year later I upgraded my space to a bigger suite and then BOOM! Covid-19 came and did a total turn around in my business.

I had to close my suite down due to not seeing a lot of my regular clients. So then I had an idea. I can go back to my hair school Paul mitchell the school of Atlanta and obtain my educator license!

Which I did!

Hello my name is Jasmyn Davis, owner and hairstylist at Pixies and Unicorns Salon in Atlanta, Georgia . I specialize in textured hair, precision hair cutting, vivid/pastel hair color services , and hair extensions which includes Sew-in’s,Quickweaves,Tape-ins, and Clip-in extensions.

My mission and my job is to leave you feeling better than when you come in to get serviced. I provide the upmost care for textured hair, color-treated hair, and my precision haircuts leave you feeling better than ever! I provide the most professionalism with each one of my clients, making them feel like a genuine and true superstar that they are!

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The most important characteristic in my business is honestly being my bubbly good vibe self! It’s honestly gotten me far in my career. I see my clients for who they are as a person, not just another dollar in my pocket.

I understand them in their shoes which makes it easy for me to deliver the results they desire and provide the most memorable experience with me!
