Today we’d like to introduce you to Kacey King.
Hi Kacey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my fitness journey in college after struggling with confidence and being heavier than the people around me. Fitness became more than just working out — it became a way for me to build discipline, confidence, and a healthier lifestyle. During COVID, I began helping friends with workouts and accountability, and that’s when I realized I genuinely loved motivating and guiding others through their own journeys.
Around that same time, watching my father’s health decline before he passed away completely shifted my perspective on wellness. It made me realize how important it is to take care of your body not just for appearance, but for longevity, strength, and quality of life. That experience pushed me even harder to stay committed to fitness and inspired me to help others prioritize their health before they are forced to.
Since then, I became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and officially built KKfitness LLC. What started as helping a few friends has grown into online coaching, fitness challenges, content creation, and building a community focused on strength, consistency, and confidence. Today, I work with busy individuals who want realistic, sustainable results while becoming stronger mentally and physically.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
During COVID, like many people, my family went through a lot of uncertainty and personal struggles, and fitness became one of the few things that helped me stay grounded mentally and emotionally. At the same time, I was battling body dysmorphia and constantly comparing myself to others, which affected my confidence and how I viewed my own progress.
Losing my father after watching his health decline added another layer of pain and motivation to my journey. Instead of letting those experiences break me, I used them to push myself harder and grow stronger mentally, physically, and emotionally. Over time, I learned that fitness is not about perfection — it’s about consistency, discipline, and building confidence from within. Those struggles are a big part of why I’m so passionate about helping others feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in themselves today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and the owner of KKfitness LLC, where I specialize in weight loss, strength training, and helping people build confidence through fitness. My approach focuses on creating realistic and sustainable habits that fit into busy lifestyles while still helping clients achieve real results physically and mentally.
What I’m most proud of is my clients and the progress they make, not just in their appearance, but in their confidence, discipline, and mindset. Seeing people become stronger and more confident in themselves is the most rewarding part of what I do.
What sets me apart is that I combine personal experience, education, and proven results. I’ve gone through my own struggles with confidence, body image, and consistency, so I understand what many of my clients are facing firsthand. Along with my NASM certification and educational background, I’ve built a strong community through online coaching, testimonials, and real client transformations that reflect the impact of my work.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as becoming a better version of yourself every day. At the end of the day, success is not just about achievements or appearance — it’s about growth, evolving, learning from challenges, and continuing to improve mentally, physically, and emotionally.
What makes me most proud is knowing that I’m constantly pushing myself to be better while also helping others do the same. Success to me is creating a positive impact, staying consistent through difficult moments, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally.
