Life & Work with Libby Diaz of Grayson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Libby Diaz

Hi Libby, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After working for a company for 10 years and honestly hating my job, I decided not to go back. I had just had my son so I decided to stay home with him, but I soon realize that I missed having something to do. My brother had been a photographer for 10 years so I decided to give it a try and I quickly found that working with children was a passion of mine. My unique and custom set ups that I create for each child’s birthday session has made me very popular and thankfully, I stay pretty booked. I have met some wonderful people through this job. I love that it all allows me to be home with my And not miss out on so much of their lives.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was definitely not a smooth road. I had to learn a lot. Thankfully I had my brother to teach me and I also had to take various classes online to better myself. Learning also how to work with children who have different needs such as autistic children, or children who have learning deficiencies. I have gotten to work with so many different children and learning how to make them feel comfortable and trying to do my best to also be able to capture beautiful moments for their parents to always have

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I do both Cake Smash photography as well as maternity. I am mostly known and popular for my Cake Smash sessions. People love that I’m able to create a custom set no matter what their theme is. I’m very proud that Just the short amount of time I have been able to get as much business as I have.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
That I am thankful for everyone that comes and books a session with me it’s always a pleasure getting to meet peoples children and form relationships with them to the point where they continue to come back and I get to see their child grow
