Life & Work with Wallena Randall of Atlanta, Ga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wallena Randall.

Hi Wallena , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
When I was first featured in Voyage ATL, I had just launched Dezign U LLC, my luxury natural haircare studio built around holistic beauty and wellness. That business became the foundation of my entrepreneurial journey. Over time, I made the decision to transition Dezign U into a private, appointment-only practice. I wanted to focus more intentionally on supporting my husband’s vision and the dreams we were building together.

In May 2024, my world shifted when I lost my husband to a heart attack. That loss changed everything. It broke me open—but it also awakened a deeper level of purpose within me. Out of that season of pain, I found new clarity. I knew it was time to help others rebuild, restructure, and rise, just as I was doing.

That’s when Second Chance Associates was born—a company dedicated to credit restoration, business structuring, and helping individuals get funded for their next level. As that began to grow, I realized there was another piece of the puzzle emerging: First Step Associates, my AI consulting agency. It allows me to merge technology with strategy—helping entrepreneurs streamline their workflows, automate systems, and use AI tools like GPTs to scale their purpose-driven businesses.

Now, I’m in the process of birthing something even bigger: The Purpose Connection. It’s not an LLC (yet), but it’s very much alive in spirit. This new movement is a community of visionaries, faith-driven entrepreneurs, and innovators who are committed to serving, collaborating, and sharpening one another—because I believe we truly are iron sharpening iron.

Through it all, I’ve learned that purpose isn’t something we chase—it’s something we become. My mission now is to help others rise through the process, rebuild what was broken, and rediscover the divine assignment that still calls their name.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There were nights I couldn’t eat. Days I couldn’t sleep. Moments where my body was awake, but my spirit was numb. Losing my husband so suddenly—without warning—felt like the world had stopped spinning. I remember standing in the quiet, wondering how life could move forward when my heart was still standing in yesterday. But even in those silent hours, when grief felt heavier than breath, I could still feel God whispering, “I did not bring you this far to leave you.”

That truth became my lifeline.
Each morning that He woke me up was a new opportunity — not just to survive, but to understand. To see that the pain wasn’t punishment, it was preparation.

When I look back over my life, I can see how every part of my story was training for this. Growing up in the projects of New Jersey taught me grit. Surviving childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence taught me empathy and discernment. Walking through divorce taught me forgiveness and the power of starting over. Every storm I’ve ever faced — from the ones that broke my heart to the ones that broke my silence — became the fire that refined me.

So when I faced the darkest valley of my life in 2024, I didn’t crumble — I transformed. I wept, I prayed, I wrestled with God. And yet, I rose. Because purpose doesn’t die in pain; it’s reborn through it.

That’s what The Purpose Coach truly means to me. It’s not a title — it’s a testimony. It’s the realization that my resilience wasn’t accidental. It was God’s way of building a warrior in me. A woman who could face tragedy and still choose transformation.

And now, through Dezign U LLC, Second Chance Associates, First Step Associates, and the birthing of The Purpose Connection, I carry that same mission into everything I do — to help others find their way back to faith, to purpose, and to themselves. Because I’ve lived through the kind of pain that tries to take your voice — and I’ve learned that healing is found in using it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m Lena “The Purpose Coach” Randall, a multi-passionate entrepreneur, faith mentor, and visionary behind Dezign U LLC, Second Chance Associates, and First Step Associates — with The Purpose Connection currently being birthed as a faith-driven network for visionaries.

At my core, I help people rebuild from the inside out — spiritually, financially, and strategically. Through Second Chance Associates, I guide individuals in credit restoration, business structuring, and funding to secure generational stability. Through First Step Associates, I merge innovation and divine strategy by helping entrepreneurs implement AI automations and custom GPT tools that scale purpose-driven businesses.

I’m known for bridging faith and functionality — showing that you can walk in divine calling while mastering systems, funding, and automation. My clients often say I make the complex simple, turning chaos into clarity and vision into action.

What I’m most proud of isn’t just the businesses I’ve built — it’s the people I’ve helped rediscover themselves through them. Watching others rise from brokenness to belief, from scarcity to strategy, is my greatest reward.

What sets me apart is my fusion of faith, innovation, and lived experience. I don’t just teach theory; I’ve walked through the fire — from childhood trauma and loss to spiritual renewal — and turned it into purpose. My life’s work stands as proof that God can take ashes and breathe legacy into them.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Throughout this one-year journey of rebuilding and realignment, I’ve been blessed with mentors who have poured into me with wisdom, accountability, and divine strategy. Adrian McGee, founder of SystemsXL, helped me strengthen the operational and structural foundation of my businesses, showing me how to scale purpose with systems that truly sustain. Alicia Lyttle of InnoVision guided me through my AI Consulting accreditation, expanding my vision to integrate automation and artificial intelligence into purpose-driven entrepreneurship.

I also want to give honor to Marcus Rosier, my entrepreneur speaker mentor, whose insight helped me refine not only my voice but my message — empowering me to stand boldly in faith and authenticity on every stage I step onto. And Raquel Diem, the visionary behind The Niche Bible, helped me clarify the heartbeat of my brand — my niche — reminding me that when you know who you’re called to serve, everything else aligns.

Each of these mentors has impacted more than my business — they’ve shaped my becoming. Their influence has reminded me that true success isn’t achieved in isolation; it’s birthed through alignment, humility, and community.
