Meet 4-IZE (Four Eyes) of Ultra Beast United

Today we’d like to introduce you to 4-IZE (Four Eyes).

4-IZE, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I moved to Atlanta in 1999 to really start my music career. Linked up with my old friend Ludacris and was featured on his first two albums. Met some great people & did some cool shit. Landed a feature on MF DOOM’S, ‘Mmm Food’ album. Recorded a bunch of songs & released a few mixtapes. Eventually released an album. Had a few mishaps. Continued building my brand.

Most recently starting my #VerseADay social media campaign. Whereas I was posting one freestyle rap video on my page every day. Ultimately resulting in Snoop Dogg reposting one of my verses. Garnishing me 10,000 Instagram followers in a day. I am currently up to 26.8k organic followers with 170 verses on my Instagram, Facebook and YouTube respectively.

Having generated a larger fanbase, I reunited with fellow emcee Señor Kaos to finish what we started a decade prior and establish Ultra Beast United as an entity.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
After suddenly losing the investors for my hiphop album due to fraud, I found myself unemployed and homeless with a stagnant music career. Upon working a part-time position at a local pizzeria, I began to rebuild myself out of all that remained. I was still recording as well as performing, rebranding myself through a fusion of comedy and rap within the theatrical improv scene here in Atlanta. Ultimately reinventing myself through my #VerseADay Instagram campaign.

Ultra Beast United – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am apart of a hiphop group called ULTRA BEAST and our independent label/agency is ULTRA BEAST UNITED. We facilitate majority of the needs required for high-quality audio and video production. As well as marketing and promotional services, along with creating content for corporate sponsorship. From the various artists on our roster to businesses such as Nike, Kaiser Permanente, Dwayne C. Singleton Lawfirm; ULTRA BEAST UNITED specializes in music production and brand building.

I’m extremely proud of how Good God Is to me. and I have made many efforts to bring together a collective of like-minded professionals that value integrity and craftsmanship over profits. Don’t get it twisted shawty, we all about securing that bag… But great relationships are truly priceless. And I believe that core value is what sets us apart from others in the music industry.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Earl Nightingale said that success is “the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” So as long as I have made up my mind to accomplish a thing and go about the means of bringing it into fruition, I am successful. I Am healthy. I feel great. I love; therefore I am loved. I Am prosperous. I Am monetarily stable. The goal now is to intensify those vibration of those feelings and get into alignment with an abundance of potential opportunities. Basically, if I plant good seeds then I’ll get good trees. You smell me?
