Meet Adam Kowzun of Apocalypse Tattoo Company in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Kowzun.

Adam , please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Apocalypse Tattoo Company opened its doors in 2013 owned by myself, Adam Kowzun, and Ryan Willingham. Ryan and I have been friends since kindergarten and he had been tattooing since we were in high school. In 2012, Ryan took me on as an apprentice and we began looking for a location to open our own shop, we landed in Buckhead and we’ve been dipping and ripping ever since. We started small with only two booths but with Ryan’s talents and already substantial following, we soon needed more space so within a year we expanded to our current five booth luxury shop. We have been blessed in our short five years with some extremely talented artists who I consider extended family.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has been surprisingly smooth like I said Ryan and I grew up like brothers. A few years in Ryan met and married the incredibly talented Nicole Nedley, now Willingham, and she joined our team. Apocalypse is very much a family business and every artist that has worked with us is part of that family. The only struggle we really have is deciding where to order lunch.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are a fully custom tattoo shop, every tattoo is designed with the client in mind. We are a very well rounded shop our artists can handle just about any tattoo that walks through the door. Aside from our talented crew, I think we’re known for being nice, there are a lot of shops out there that can’t make that claim and we’re proud of that.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I love Atlanta, I would recommend living or working in this city to anyone. If we had a decent public transportation system and dispensaries, it would be perfect!

• Our shop minimum is $60
• Pricing is by the hour $120-150 per hour depending on the artist
• Pre drawn flash is always discounted
