Meet Amari Johnson of The Amari Nicole Collection in East Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amari Johnson.

Amari, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always been a tenacious young lady and had a passion for entrepreneurship. I started my cosmetics lip gloss business in my sophomore year of high school. I had a limited inventory and a few sales, which made me a little discouraged. Due to numerous lip gloss inquiries, my passion was sparked again to continue my line. In June 2020, I decided to relaunch my lip gloss line and dedicate time, patience, and effort to make it successful.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been rainbows and butterflies but in the end, it will all be worth it. My resilience to succeed will not allow me to give up. I’ve learned that building a brand and clientele takes time.

The Amari Nicole Collection – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’ve always been on top of the next best thing. I am constantly exploring ways to have multiple streams of income. I am the CEO of Lashed by Amari Nicole where I am a Lash Technician. I make waist beads, anklets and candid grapes. But what I am most proud of is The Amari Nicole Collection. What sets me apart from others is that as a CEO I’m not invested in the business just for the money. I’m invested in my brand and the highest quality of products for my customers and their satisfaction.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I am confident the economy will recover due to the recent pandemic decline. I believe that the industry will grow tremendously in the future. Glamour is apart of everyday life and cosmetics is here to stay!
