Meet Ayanah Hanaya

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayanah Hanaya.

Hi Ayanah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Ayanah Hanaya! (Just my name backwards lol) I’m a Queen of all trades and master of quite a few! I’m a Multifaceted Entrepreneur. I love working for myself and helping other women do the same. I studied Business & Marketing, I’m a Master Cosmetologist, Certified Business Coach, (Well, life coach but I specifically deal with business. Life is hard lol) Founder of EntrepreneuHerWay, Owner of Pryceless Pieces, Mailed From The Heart, CutiePawTutie, 2 Etsy Shops, and owner of AH Beauty Studio, and AHIYB!

When I started working for myself in 2013, I had no idea what I was doing; I just knew that NOT working for myself wasn’t an option for me. So, I failed a lot, learned a lot, and kept going until I succeeded! My goal is to in each area of business be the reason why you either look good, feel good, learn something, or make money!

I love helping women specifically because as a woman, I understand how easy it is to put ourselves on low on the back burner and forget the way we used to exist and burn brightly in the front.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not! Like almost everyone, I’ve struggled with A LOT! To stay in the more recent era of my life, six months before the pandemic, I left my husband and then the pandemic hit! It was a lot being a single mom and an Entrepreneur in 2020, and it was a lot for my son being home all the time and adapting to a one parent household. I thought that instead of sitting home and drowning in my stress puddle, I closed my salon from April-August and put all my focus into making my other businesses even more successful and built two new businesses and learned new skills.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In a nutshell, I’m a business owner who teaches other women how to create passive income and build their own business. I used to be a full-time Hair Stylist but since then, I’ve grown into having over five online businesses and seven streams of income. I’m really proud that I never give up on myself, no matter what I go through, I make sure I give myself time to heal and then time to grind. I really believe in balance and I think that overworking is overrated, and I’m learning to sit down when I need to. I would say the thing that sets me apart from others is that in the worst situations, I can see a rainbow, I’m probably too optimistic but I really believe I can do anything I put my mind to and I believe others can too.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I think that risk taking is necessary if you ever want to progress in life, as long as you aren’t putting others in danger. Everything in life is a risk. Risks involve uncertainty, so to most that’s not a comfortable feeling. I had a conversation with someone close to me and the possibility of what could happen if she made a certain decision to put herself first scared her so much she decided to stay still. I respect it. Safety is important. But sometimes the other side of risk are amazing rewards and results. I’m all for risk taking and having the opportunity to fail but learn or succeed and learn some more. I always say but by not trying, you fail yourself and I stand on that, I don’t want to look back on my life and regret all the things I didn’t do or at least try.
