Meet Beverly Williams-Harris of Simply Gorgeous Spa and Wellness Center in Snellville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beverly Williams-Harris.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Beverly. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Shortly after receiving my undergraduate B.S. degree in Fashion Merchandising Textile Science, I began working in the retail fashion industry in New Jersey. Later after relocating to Metro Atlanta where several family members lived, I made the decision to switch gears and obtain my Masters in Elementary Education. This soon led my family and I to open a private Gifted and Talented Christian Elementary school. It was a family affair and we all enjoyed helping young minds learn and grow. There is so much pride in staying connected and following our student’s lives and achievements throughout Georgia and around the country. They are truly our great future leaders.

After several years with the school, we were faced with the matriarch of our family’s declining health issues that required continuous care. While this was very heartbreaking, it presented me with an opportunity to work on another personal goal of becoming a Licensed Esthetician and eventually opening Simply Gorgeous Spa and Wellness Center. The long line of business owners in my family certainly encouraged me. My great grandfather owned a flourishing farm, his son owned a cleaners and farm and my great grandmother sold Luck Heart Cosmetics. My grandmother owned her own traveling clothing boutique and my mom co-owned the school with me, my husband, aunt and cousin. One of our family mottos is that with ownership comes the awesome privilege and responsibility of helping others.

Has it been a smooth road?
While enjoying helping people achieve their personal health goals, there are also challenges as a business owner. The competition can be stiff and it requires a lot of smart and hard work to stay on top of all aspects of the day-to-day operations. First and foremost, you must surround yourself with a team you can trust who are talented and buy into our business philosophy of providing our clients with the best all natural products and services while creating a warm and friendly environment at our Spa and Wellness Center. If you guessed that some of my family members are on the Simply Gorgeous Spa and Wellness team, then you get an “A” for Awesome! Yes, we as a family love each other and work together to continue our family legacy of the “entrepreneurial spirit”.

Additionally, we are faced with the tough decisions all the time; however, we put our clients first by thinking of their needs and desires. A huge part of our business growth has been primarily through word-of-mouth which is so important to our success. We are continuously working to meet the needs of our clientele and proud to say that many of them compliment us on our personalized touch and creative out of the box approaches to helping them have a gorgeous and healthy life. Additionally, we receive referrals from healthcare professionals and in some cases, they also become clients.

Our goal is to provide our clients with excellent customer service tailored to meet their individual needs. In a competitive market, to remain relevant, we strive to maintain a proper balance between being at our location working with clients and making the time necessary to market and grow our business. This requires that we network with various organizations and participate in activities that are in and around Metro-Atlanta.

Simply Gorgeous Spa and Wellness Center’s mission is to help people create a healthy life overall. We have been fortunate enough to have clients visit us from throughout Georgia and other states. This can be attributed to what we offer as well as all that Metro-Atlanta offers. It is an exciting place to live and these are exciting times to live here.
