Meet Brae Richardson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brae Richardson.

Brae Richardson is the owner of Brae Richardson LLC, a company which specializes in Events, PR, Business Consulting, Social Media Management, and consults with many local and corporate businesses. Her focus is on her brand as she is hustling, being a Girl Boss and also working in corporate America! Brae is 27, she was born in Charleston, SC, grew up in Charlotte, decided to permanently move back to Charleston for the last five years. She has made her mark by working with popular lounges and various businesses in downtown Charleston. Helping to bring Celebs in a town like Dave Chappelle and Odell Beckham for venue appearances, in addition to working with popular brands like Veuve Clicquot. Some may call her an influencer and the networking queen but Brae’s main focus is to become the “change she wants to see in her community”. Not only is being an advocate for women in business important to her but advocating for minorities are just as important. Being a minority and Girl boss in Charleston has been a challenge but she’s worked hard to make her mark, and be a force! Brae enjoys community service, traveling, staying fit, and considers herself a foodie – and loves a glass of Veuve clicquot Rose. As of lately, Brae’s main focus has been focusing on self-care and mental health; a part of self-care is traveling to Charlotte and spending time with her parents, and two younger sisters.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth? I wish it had been a smooth road! I’ve been fired, rehired, had to make decisions to remove myself from certain business contracts because they didn’t represent my brand or morals, I’ve had to step out on faith and more. So no, it hasn’t been smooth at all. However, it was ALL worth it – life lessons are always the best. I don’t think I would have appreciated who I am or my business if there weren’t any “struggles”.

We’d love to hear more about your company.
My company specializes in Events, PR, Business Consulting, Social Media Management, and consults with many local and corporate businesses. I am most known for my events and branding, I work frequently with a popular champagne brand for my events and I think those type of factors are what set me apart from others – especially in Charleston. I brought something to this city that a lot of my people have never seen before nor experienced. I’m happy to bring that to my people, we deserve it.

What were you like growing up?
I was extremely reserved, I grew up the only child (I didn’t get my first sibling until I was 21). I really didn’t start coming into who I was until College. THEN, “Brae the Hustler”, was born, I gained a sense of independence, met some amazing people really started seeing more, experiencing more, traveled like no other (still trying to figure out how I made enough money in college to travel to Miami every Spring Break, haha) – but it really helped me mold into who God wanted me to be.
