Meet Brianna Faulk of The Performer’s Palace in Metropolitan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Faulk.

Brianna, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
According to my mom, I was gifted to sing. When I was just four years old, I lost my brother to neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer. As a therapy, I began singing songs that helped ease the pain. My mom and dad noticed the gift and immediately began putting me in talent shows and singing competitions. My passion for singing grew and grew as I maneuvered through elementary and high school, performing many leading roles. I knew early on that performing on stage was my goal.

Upon graduating from high school, I was given the scholarship to attend the University for Northern Colorado where I received a degree in musical theatre. After graduation, I was afforded the opportunity to work as a performance artist for Royal Caribbeans Celebrity Cruiseline. As a performer, we were tasked with performing various shows several days a week. Whenever we were not performing, we had to dress in evening chic clothing. This is when I began to entertain the idea of having a shop that specialized in clothing that would be perfect for those evenings.

In March 2020, the Pandemic had a major impact on the cruise industry. As a result, my ship was quarantined at sea for 65 days. This gave me time to really start making my dreams of the Performer’s Palace come to life. Once I was able to return to my home, I began the journey.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road so far has been relatively smooth. With the support and love of my family, things have gone well.

Please tell us about The Performer’s Palace.
My company is The Performer’s Palace. This shop caters to the needs of women and men looking for that unique and special outfit. The Showstopper collection consists of your above-average nine to five attire. Everything from the dinner dress to the formal prom. The Royal Basics collection consists of just that; your everyday basic casual wear. The Curvy collection, inspired by my mom, is my favorite. The dresses and outfits in this collection are designed to make the more mature women feel beautiful and sexy.

I’m most proud of the fact that I actually took this dream and made it a reality. I surprised myself. I believe my shop is different in that the Performer’s Palace is a one-stop-shop for the performer. Other items are offered that support the performer like makeup, jewelry, and vocal health and wellness items. Performers often complain about having to go to several shops to find items they need. Hopefully, The Performer’s Palace can reduce that stress., while also providing the everyday citizen with formal wear for various occasions.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I think everything happened just the way God intended. I have no regrets.
