Meet Brittney Hartsfield of BreeBeyond in Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Hartsfield.

Brittney, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
In 2006 I enrolled in Community College in Florida. I wanted to become a nurse and for two years, I took the prerequisite courses need to enter. Along the way, I lost interest and my class intake started to decrease. Needless to say, this wasn’t for me. It wasn’t until 2013 when I decided to enroll in cosmetology school. I enjoyed every part of the program!! I was inspired and motivated daily.

Has it been a smooth road?
Oh absolutely not! At one particular time in my life I felt as if it was just me against the world. It was in this time that I learned a hard lesson in self-reliance. I just knew that my perseverance and will could get me through anything and it has. I will say that faith and belief are very powerful and is something we all should carry.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
So, I am a licensed professional hairstylist based in Buckhead, Atlanta. I am best known for my braids and blowouts. I’m proud that I work in an industry where creativity and know-how go hand in hand and that talent and intelligence isn’t something to be intimidated by, but rather inspired.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see a lot more education coming about. There will be a new standard of learning.
