Meet Carolina Castillo Farias of RafayCaroAsesores y Team CREA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolina Castillo Farias.

Hi Carolina , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story started at a very young age because I took on a role that probably wasn’t meant for me yet. I grew up in a home where my mother, as a single mom, carried all the responsibility, and somehow I understood early on that I needed to take care of her and also my sister, even though I was the younger one.
I always had the desire in my heart to become their support system. That is why I started working, studying, and finding ways to grow from a young age. And life usually gives you people who are similar to you, so very young I also found love in a man who was hardworking, visionary, and very much like me.
Together we started many businesses. We sold clothes, jewelry, and many other things, until eventually we found success in the network marketing industry, where we reached one of the highest executive positions and built teams with thousands of people. We mentored others, helped people make money, and watched many dreams become reality.
Then Venezuela hit us hard, and we had to immigrate. But I truly believe people never start from zero. You start from your knowledge, your experience, and everything life has taught you.
When we arrived in this country, we worked in construction, cleaning, driving, and many other jobs. But we always lived by one phrase from the book Conversations with God:
“Don’t forget who you are while going through what you are not.”
We always knew that season was temporary, and we believed the opportunity to work together again would come.
That opportunity came through the insurance industry. My husband started first, and together we created our business under the name Rafa y Caro Asesores. I promised to support him, with one condition: that later he would help me get out of the cleaning industry too.
Little by little, he left his other jobs behind until insurance became his full-time income. Then it was my turn to start.
I built my own book of business without contacts or referrals because my husband already had most of them. But I told myself, “This is actually a good challenge and a good way to prove the industry.”
So I went out into the streets. I started handing out flyers in supermarkets, attending every event I was invited to, showing up everywhere I could. Later, together with other entrepreneurs, we started creating our own events in our city.
Hard work and discipline always bring rewards. My book of business started growing, my residual income grew with it, and eventually I was able to leave all my other jobs behind.
Our debts were paid off, we bought a house, changed cars, and things were going well. Then one day, because my husband is such a visionary, he asked me:
“What if we build our own agency?”
I said yes immediately because we both believed we could give back what had once been freely given to us.
That is how Team CREA was born, our own agency. Together with some great friends from Alabama, we started this journey, and I honestly could not be more proud of it.
In less than a year, this agency has helped change the lives of almost 100 people and has built teams in more than 6 states across the country.
Today we see dreams becoming reality. We see families changing. We see growth happening in front of our eyes.
Our businesses kept growing, and we moved into a bigger office so we could have a space for our clients, a space for our agents, and even a space for our 26-year-old daughter, who became inspired by our growth and decided to get her P&C and tax licenses too.
Today our office is a place where we help people, educate them, and provide real opportunities for growth and financial change.
We still have dreams and goals we want to accomplish, but above all, we are deeply grateful to God because He has guided every step of this journey. He placed the right people and the right opportunities in our path to make all of this possible.
Without Him, none of this would exist.
And through all of this, one thing is important to say: none of this happened overnight. Everything we built happened over a period of 6 years.
During that time, we experienced fear many times and walked through a lot of emotional valleys. There were moments of uncertainty, moments where the road was not clear, and moments where things felt heavy. But quitting was never an option for us.
Because that is the price of dreams: having the courage to stay in line even when you cannot fully see the path ahead.
We learned that God is always with you, even in the hardest seasons, and that He manifests Himself through faith, determination, prayer, and action.
That is what carried us through every stage of this journey, because we truly believe that faith without works is dead.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest struggles was finding clients. I was in a completely new country, without family and with very few contacts. But I knew one thing about myself: connecting with people is one of my gifts. I am naturally very good at socializing and building friendships, so I started within my Spanish-speaking community.
Another one of my biggest challenges, even today, has been the language. I have studied a lot and I can communicate well, but there are still moments when fear hits me so hard that I freeze and my mind completely blanks out. And even with that fear, I still keep going.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Please tell us more about your business or organization. What should we know?
We are located in Atlanta, specifically in the city of Canton. I work in the insurance industry, specializing in health, life, dental, supplemental, and group insurance. We are also a brokerage agency that guides, mentors, and supports people who want to start their journey as professionals in the insurance industry.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, and what are you known for?
Besides my businesses, I am also a coach in several areas. I truly love studying and investing in myself, and I have applied everything I’ve learned not only to our agency teams but also to the community work I do.
The city of Canton has experienced significant growth within the Latino community, and I feel very proud to say that we have all helped create that movement together. I absolutely love this part of my life. I may not get paid financially for it, but I gain something even more valuable: meaningful friendships and connections with people who dream big alongside me.
What makes you different from others?
Honestly, everything. God did not create us in series, so I am not meant to be like anyone else, and I do not try to be. My only competition is with myself — becoming a better version of who I was yesterday.
What brand are you most proud of?
I am proud of both because each one brings something special to the people it serves.
At Rafa y Caro Asesores, we focus deeply on customer service, ethics, responsibility, commitment, and truly caring for the people who trust us.
And at Team CREA… wow. That is where we really get to witness transformation. We love seeing people grow and watching what can happen when someone decides to change their life. We do not just help people build a business — we work hard on helping them strengthen their mindset too.
What would you like our readers to know about your brand, services, and offerings?
I would love readers to know that there is a real opportunity here for anyone who is ready to start a new path in life.

Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to reach the next level in my career, build more agencies, and help even more people. These goals are written in my journal and placed on my vision board, with specific dates, numbers of agents, clients, and even the amount of income I plan to generate.
I truly believe that for a vision to become reality, you must first see it clearly in your mind. Once you have that clarity, you can begin making the small daily decisions and actions that eventually lead you to the bigger goal.
