Meet Chris Knott of Knott Consulting in Cascade

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Knott.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Chris. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m a strong believer in serving and waiting for your moment. In 2013, I began working for a tax firm where I was able to tap into the accounting industry. Truth be told, I almost did not get the job. I received the information two days after the closing date of the company taking applicants. Yet, the owner gave me a chance. I began working for the company two weeks later. There, I was able to soak in all the information on how to run a proper tax business and build a long-lasting clientele. I used tools that were given to me from multiple MLM companies, from previous years, to help double my clients every year. Although, it was a great company to work for after four years, I found myself at a standstill of what I wanted to do to further my business. In December 2017, I started Knott Consulting LLC. I had reached out to three other business partners, made a plan, put it on paper and put it to action.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One month into business, the worst happened, my car was broken into while getting lunch on Peter St. All of my laptops with my files were stolen. For some, this would have been the breaking point to fold and give up, for me it was a time to show everyone that I can’t be stopped. For three weeks straight, me and my business partners sat down and incorporated a new plan. My business did not grow that year in numbers but it taught me that the only way to grow a business is to find a way to keep getting through the tough times. No matter how great your business plan is, there will be tough times.

Knott Consulting – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our logo is the shape of a four-leaf clover with our name, Knott Consulting, in place of one of the leaves. The clover itself represents growth and we believe in order to grow in life you need to work on four avenues of life; spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially. We want our clients to think of Knott Consulting to help them in the process of growing financially. We offer personal & business accounting/income tax/bookkeeping; free credit repair workshops; and access to our licensed realtors.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is what you make it. You can only achieve it from growing yourself in the process. I value the Holy Bible, so my success is helping others find their blessings. I also work for the City of Atlanta fire department and seeing the many civilians that I help on a daily basis brings so much purpose to my life. I can promise you there is no other blessing like see the next person feel blessed.
